In November, a python snuck aboard a sailboat in the Florida Keys and ended up staying until the boat finished its nearly 100-mile voyage, police said.

After docking in Marco Island, Florida, earlier this month, the crew discovered the seven-foot serpent in the boat’s shower. It was there after the team had traveled from Indian Key. This is approximately 95 miles away at the southern tip.

A police news release states that officers quickly responded to the call and took the invasive snake, after which it was taken by a wildlife handler to be removed.
