Trump was seated beside Melania Trump, former first lady, while they chatted with their fans prior to the game between Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves. They were doing this from Game 4 in the World Series.

Trump had just months earlier called for Major League Baseball to be boycotted.

Melania was seen for the first times since July. She was seen exiting the Trump Tower in New York City.

Trump issued a statement to his fans Saturday in mass email. It was about his World Series appearance.

“Looking forward to the World Series at Atlanta tonight. Thanks to Rob Manfred as Commissioner of Baseball and Randy Levine, President of the New York Yankees for this invitation. Melania and me look forward to an evening of great sports with two amazing teams.

MLB said that they never sent the invitation, and stated in a statement that the MLB had requested the invite.

Trump was able to see Walker during his visit to Truist park. Walker is a former University of Georgia Heisman Trophy Winner and has been running back with the Dallas Cowboys (Minnesota Vikings), and the USFL New Jersey Generals (USFL New Jersey Generals).

Trump owned the Generals at the time Walker was playing in the league. They have maintained an intimate relationship. Trump supported Walker’s bid for the Senate.

Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority leader, endorsed Walker Wednesday. Walker seeks to unseat Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock.

Trump encouraged the boycott of MLB games, after Manfred pulled the All-Star Game out of Atlanta. Denver hosted the event instead.

Trump might have chosen Atlanta to receive a better reception than his previous World Series appearance. While still in office, Trump was heckled as he sat on the bench at Game 5 at the 2019 World Series between Washington at Nationals Park and the Astros.

Trump wasn’t shown on Truist Park before the game, but one moment was captured on video between Melania and Trump when Melania lost her smile.

Just as people were cheering on the couple, they also joined the Braves signature Tomahawk gesture just before the start of play.
