When a startled zoo mongo falls from a ledge, it turns to see a woman looking through he glass

  • After noticing a woman looking through the glass, the primate was shocked.
  • Ms Liu (the lady in the video) said that it was the first time she had seen a monkey in real life.  
  • She was visiting the primate at Changchun Zoo in Jilin province, China. 










This is when a shocked zoo monkey fell off a window edge at the sight of a woman gazing through the glass.

The video shows Ms Liu from Changchun in north-eastern Chinese Province of Jilin visiting her local Zoo.

Ms Liu stated that she had only seen monkeys on television and was excited to see one live.  

The viral video shows the monkey with its back to her, perched on a window edge. 

Ms Liu moves closer to the glass and taps it in the hope it will notice her.  

It is so shocked to see her that it falls off the ledge. 

The footage ends with the woman exclaiming and laughing, then covering her face with her hands.

Ms Liu said it was her first time seeing a monkey in the flesh, and that she had been excited to see the creature and capture the moment in person

Ms Liu claimed that it was her first experience with a monkey in person.

Later on social media, Ms Liu joked that the monkey had reacted that way in response to seeing the young lady without any makeup on

Ms Liu uploaded the footage to Douyin, a social network in China that is TikTok. It has been widely reshared by netizens.

The clip was captioned by her: “I still can’t understand why this monkey saw my this way, or because I wasn’t wearing make-up?”

Footage of the stunned monkey was captured following a viral video, also on Douyin, of a gorilla biting at zoogoers on 16 October in Zhejiang, an eastern Chinese province.

The gorilla was seen chasing down visitors to Wenzhou Zoo, Wenzhou.  

After being doused with ape spit, the zoogoers are forced to flee and have horrified faces.

The cheeky gorilla meanwhile drops to the ground and stands in front of the main window to see the aftermath.
