A mum was left mortified after scrawling jet-black eyebrows on her baby’s face for a fancy dress party – only for him to be still sporting one a week later as it refuses to scrub off.

Chloe Sullivan, 30, from Snodland, Kent, proudly rocked up to her brother’s Halloween party last Friday with her entire household dressed as the Addams Family.

She covered her face in white makeup and wore a black wig to become Morticia, her partner Liam Dowd.

The office and laboratory manager then dressed up two-year-old Aida Dowd as Pugsley and whipped out her magnetic eyeliner to draw eyebrows on six-month-old Vinnie – safe in the knowledge he wouldn’t be able to rub them off that night.

But the next day as she was trying to scrub the hilarious-looking eyebrows off the tot, she was horrified to find they wouldn’t budge, with the eyeliner clinging to his ‘delicate, fine’ baby hair.

Chloe explains that she is still trying free Vinnie from his new, striking look in a TikTok video. It has been viewed more than 70,000 times and received 524,000 views.

Chloe Sullivan, 30, from Snodland, Kent, proudly rocked up to her brother’s Halloween party last Friday with her entire household dressed as the Addams Family. She was shocked to discover that the eyebrows she had drawn on her son’s face using eyeliner couldn’t be erased for a whole week.

Chloe said: ‘I just can’t believe it. In my head I really thought I was doing something clever by putting it on with something he couldn’t rub off.

‘A week on, we’ve still got half an eyebrow.

“My brother and wife had a Halloween party. On the Saturday morning, half of his ‘tache had come off in his sleep. I wiped his moustache off and then tried an eyebrow but it wasn’t budging. It was like glue sticking to his eyebrows.

‘I thought I’d give him a bath and it’d be off by that evening but it wasn’t. Then on the Sunday it still wasn’t coming off.

Despite numerous baths and scrubbing, Vinnie's eyebrows are still refusing to budge, but he doesn't look to upset about his new look

Despite multiple baths and scrubbing Vinnie’s eyebrows have not budged despite repeated scrubbing. However, he doesn’t seem too upset about his new look.

“I covered him with baby oil, baby lotion. I took so many pictures.

‘Luckily, he doesn’t go to childcare and I would have had to go do the school run, but because I unfortunately caught covid, the school are picking Esme up.

‘I’d have definitely got funny looks if I’d have taken him to school with his eyebrows like that.’

Chloe was already familiar with the family’s magnetic eyeliner. She uses it to apply false lashes when she meets Vinnie.

Liam, a plant operator, had used it to draw a moustache on Esme’s face while Esme used it as eyeliner on her eyes.

Although their faces were cleaned easily, Vinnie was still branded with them. Chloe is frantically searching her bathroom cabinet for items to restore Vinnie’s blond hairs.

Chloe said: ‘My brother said ‘if you come, you have to dress up’. We considered what we could do together as a family, and we settled on the Addams Familie.

“Not many people seem to know that the Addams Family has the little baby Pubert” in the second film.

“We had Pugsley. My eldest daughter went on Wednesday. Then we dressed Vinnie, my youngest daughter, as Pubert.

The mother shared the story on TikTok where she revealed she tried everything to scrub off the eyebrows, to no avail

The mother shared her story on TikTok, where she said that she tried everything to remove her eyebrows.

‘Esme only had the white face paint on and the black eyeliner applied to her eyes. It was only there so it didn’t get wiped off.

“I then spray her hair black. I didn’t put any makeup on Aida because she can’t sit still for a second.

‘I didn’t want to use my eyebrow pencil because Vinnie could just rub it off and it could go all over his baby grow.

“I used my magnetic eyeliner as it is easy to remove from my eyelids.

Magnetic eyeliner is applied like an eyeliner. The eyelashes have tiny magnets. The eyelash is applied by simply sticking it on.

The motther claimed that she tried for days to get the eyebrows (pictured) off using oils, water, and other techniques, but with no luck

‘For days I tried to get rid of it and he still has half. It’s stuck to his hair – I feel awful.

“I tried a cradle caps exfoliator and absolutely nothing has budged.

‘Liam was like ‘what the hell have you done?’ He’d put it on his moustache and had to really scrub it to get it off.

‘Where his stubble was coarser, it just came off, whereas Vinnie’s hair is so delicate and fine.

“In the end, I was able to get one. I soaked him with baby oil while he slept and picked it up.

‘It was bright red so I thought “oh gosh, I can’t do the other one yet”.

‘I left it overnight and now he’s got half of one left so I’ll finish that when he goes to sleep.’

Despite the outfit malfunction, Chloe claims everyone commented on their creative outfits on the night while TikTok users all laughed at her video showing Vinnie’s new look.

Chloe stated that everyone complimented her dress and said it looked great.

“We were the only ones who went as a family. Some people dressed up as Day of the Dead or vampires with their children.

‘It’s abnormal for me to be very white because I tan all the time. My sister-in-law said she couldn’t wait to see me as Morticia because I don’t think I’ve been as pale in my life.

‘Online, everyone thinks it’s hilarious and love it. They all see the funny sides.

‘Next year it’s bin bags all round, no make-up and just masks.’
