A mother whose daughter was raped by a hospital electrician while she lay in the morgue, has spoken out about her anger at how he was able access his victims so she called for the trust boss’s resignation.

David Fuller, a married hoarder, has admitted today to the murders in Tunbridge Wells (Kent) in 1987 of Wendy Knell, and Caroline Pierce.

For more than three decades police were baffled by the mystery, until finally they discovered that DNA could be used to solve it.

Fuller was taken into custody at his East Sussex home last year. However, detectives discovered that Fuller had sex in more than 100 bodies at the hospitals where they worked.

In court, it was revealed that the pervert kept a detailed record of his sex assaults in his own handwriting. He kept it secret in the home he shared in with his wife.

One of his victims was 24-year-old law graduate Azra Kemal, who died after falling through a gap above the A21 dual carriageway in Kent.

Nevres, her mother, has revealed the shocking abuse she suffered after her death.

The first attack took place only hours after she had visited to say a heartbreaking farewell, before Fuller struck again shortly after the parent had left, Sky News reports.

In an emotional interview with the site’s Home Editor Jason Farrell, a family friend, she said: ‘I had spent two hours in the mortuary sleeping with her. That gave me some comfort. I didn’t know my daughter had been abused before that day and that evening.

“So, while I was stroking my daughter’s hair, sleeping on it, a man… crawled all across her skin… And then, there’s me kissing, cuddling, and saying my final goodbyes.

“What is one’s thinking?” How can you comprehend such an idea?

Today, her mother, Nevres, revealed how her daughter (pictured) was the subject of sickening abuse after her death

Today Nevres, Nevres’ mother, shared how her daughter (pictured above) was subject of sickening abuse following her death

Fuller was arrested at his home in East Sussex last year but before he confessed to the two killings, detectives found the 67-year-old had sex with more than 100 dead bodies in morgues at the hospitals where he worked

Fuller was arrested at his East Sussex home last January. Detectives found that Fuller had sex at least 100 dead bodies in the morgues at the East Sussex hospitals where he worked before he confessed.

Ms Kemal went on to demand the resignation of Miles Scott (pictured), chief executive of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, where Fuller continued to work for years until his arrest last year

Ms Kemal demanded the resignation of Miles Scott, chief executive of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Fuller continued to work there for many years until his arrest last January.

Ms. Kemal expressed her anger at Fuller’s ease in accessing his victims. Fuller reportedly gained entry into the mortuary area and autopsy area many times.

She added: ‘I’m told he was the man to go to. He was always available to the mortuary staff. They thought he was a great man and he groomed them. They became compliant with him and never questioned him.

“Like women who are raped all over the world, Azra has a voice. I am speaking out for my daughter.

Ms Kemal then demanded that Miles Scott, chief operating officer of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust was fired. Fuller continued to work there for years until his arrest in last year.

“He should ask the victims, “Do you think I’m the right person to manage this hospital trust?” She said that if you truly regret, you would be willing to step aside.

Since then, the trust has announced that an independent investigation will be launched in order to determine if more could have been done to prevent these crimes.

Sir Jonathan Michael, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, was commissioned to perform the probe.

Mr Scott said today: ‘I want to say on behalf of the Trust, how shocked and appalled I am by the criminal activity by David Fuller in our hospital mortuary that has been revealed in court this week.

“And most importantly, my family is in my sincere apologies for these horrible crimes.

“We’ve been working together with a team specialist Police Family Liaison officers to offer these family members any assistance or help they may need.

“I am confident that the mortuary we have today is safe, secure and secure. But I am determined that there are lessons to be learned and systems that can be improved.

Wendy Knell

Caroline Pierce

After three decades of puzzlement, David Fuller, a married hoarder admitted to the murders of Wendy Knell (left), and Caroline Pierce (right), in Tunbridge wells, Kent in 1987.

The pervert kept a detailed diary of his sex assaults, penned in his own handwriting and secreted in the home he shared with his wife

The pervert kept a detailed record of his sex assaults in his own handwriting, which he kept secretly in the home he shared in with his wife.

Fuller was identified as the prime suspect in the murders of Ms Knell and Ms Pierce after a DNA breakthrough achieved by analysing genetic material found at the crime scenes and searching criminal databases for relatives.

Although the electrician was not known to police, officers found a partial match in one of his relatives’ DNA after looking through a 1,000-person database that could have been related to the killer.

Officers arrested Fuller in Heathfield in East Sussex after an investigation revealed that he had 1,000 images of sexual abuse in his possession.

Kent Police released footage of the arrest today. Fuller, who was still working at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, opened the door to officers. He then declares, ‘Oh, Blimey.

In court, it was revealed that the pervert kept a detailed record of his sex assaults in his own handwriting. He kept it secret in the home he shared in with his wife.

But he was finally unmasked and his offending, which was described today by CPS as “a kind of crime no British court has ever seen before”, was brought to the open.

Priti Patel, Home Secretary, stated that she hoped victims’ families could find some solace in the fact that justice was finally being done.

She described the case to be’shocking’ and said that the’sickening nature’ of the crimes would cause public concern.
