A one-year-old toddler has grown so large for his age that he has to wear adult nappies.
Sonny Portnoy from Sydney (Australia) was nine pounds at his birth. He has now tripled that weight to 36lbs (8 lb).
He has also outgrown Huggies’ largest-sized nappies, which are available from the brand. Jayde Leeder (42), has spoken out.

Jayde, who was pregnant by Sonny, had significant weight loss and a large stomach when doctors suspected she might have gestational diabetes.
Jayde and Sonny were checked for the condition four times. However, Sonny came out just a little bigger than expected when Jayde gave birth.
“When I was pregnant, he measured an extra week or so.

He is almost twice as tall as his brothers. Minty is nine years old, Jayde is 42 and Jayde one year. Iggy is fourteen.
“Doctors worried about my size. They initially thought that I might have diabetes. But, luckily, they were wrong. I was just blessed with a boy who had special needs.
It was normal to expect that my father, a strong Russian Russian man, would have a son.
Sonny is an adorable little character. His cheeky personality makes him laugh.
“He sees when he does something wrong and laughs at my reactions.
“He is crawling, and learning to stand. But I have some skeletal issues and seems to have inherited hypermobility problems. His ankle joints are stiff.
“It’s not something serious but he’s having regular physio so that he can walk soon enough.
“I feel very fortunate to have him as part of our family. I can’t wait for him to grow up and to develop.
