After he went along with his girlfriend to Cardiff’s Christmas party, a mechanic got beaten to death.
Photographs of Daniel Rees (24 years old), from Pontypridd in Wales show his badly bruised face, with split eyelids and fractured eyes sockets. He also has a broken nose.
Following being punched with punches on that night, Mr Rees was convinced he was going mad. His girlfriend Chelsea Pryce later confirmed his fears.
After being attacked, Daniel Rees (24 years old), Pontypridd in Wales, suffered a fractured socket, split eyelid and a suspected broken nose.
Ms Pryce, who works as a store manager from Caerphilly, left the Popworld nightclub on St Mary Street in Cardiff with her boyfriend in the early hours of December 14.
The two attackers then began attacking Mr Rees. They punched and kicked him repeatedly.
Ms Pryce said: ‘We left the venue at about 2.30am in the morning but, when we got outside, this bloke just came from nowhere and punched Dan in the face.
He called my name and I could not get to him.
Mr Rees had to wait for 14 hours in A&E and according to his girlfriend and is still barely able to see due to the injuries
“And when they finally arrived, Dan was handcuffed by the officers and placed in the back seat of the van. Despite the fact that he was covered in blood and obviously badly hurt.
“Eventually, they took the handcuffs off and blue-lighted us to the University Hospital of Wales nearby.
‘There we had to wait for 14 hours in A&E, during which time Dan told me he thought he was going to die as he was lying there and the blows kept coming.
Mr Rees said to his girlfriend, “I thought I was going crazy from this attack.” He was repeatedly being punched.
Chelsea Pryce, a Caerphilly-based store manager who was born and raised in Caerphilly left Popworld on St Mary Street, Cardiff in early December with Mr Rees.
“Honestly, the image of his bloodied and swollen visage will never leave my head for as long as I live.
Ms. Pryce stated that Mr. Rees is still unable to see well due to the injuries. She will be having an operation next weekend.
South Wales Police stated that they are investigating an incident in St Mary Street on Tuesday, December 14th.
According to a spokesperson, the incident occurred at 2.30 AM. One of them was transported to hospital.
“There were no charges, and inquiries are ongoing.”
