Emily Stewart’s baby-monitoring system caught all the happenings in Bradley (Illinois), while Kyla, her little girl, was still asleep on her cot.
After crawling over the lens of the camera, the spider casts an enormous shadow that quickly descends on the child.
In the January 4th footage, the spider appeared to be very close to the face of the infant.
Ms Stewart said that the baby was fine, and the spider had been killed by her when she saw the clips on the monitor the next day.
Commenters identified it as a yellow sac-spider, which is dangerous and could bite.
Since Ms Stewart uploaded the frightening situation to TikTok, it has been viewed over 3.5 million times.
Ms. Stewart added the caption: “Trigger warning!” My life would be better if this had not happened. It is now time to set fire to the house.

It was a surprise to many that it dropped on the baby, even though the spider had the complete bedroom for spinning a web.
