Unbelievable ten puppies were born to a sausage dog.
Cheesecake, a two-year-old dachshund, stunned her 42-year-old owner Stacey Whiteley when she had almost twice the number of puppies that she was able to give birth to.
Stacey is a mother of two and works in the water industry as a planner. She expected to have eight puppies. But they kept coming.
Stacey (from Lincoln) decided to name all the puppies cheeses after herself.

Stacey, a mother-of-two who is a water industry planner, was expecting eight puppies. But they just kept on coming (pictured with their dog mom).
“Sausage dogs typically have six litters,” she said. Cheesecake would have two more due to the scan, but I wasn’t sure if ten were possible.
“She gave birth within one hour to six babies, then she slowed down because she was tired. Because I’m an experienced mom, it was easy to relate. I checked her uterus and saw if she had any.
“She was not a textbook. She gave me food, and within 5 minutes she gave birth. It was amazing.
On September 8, the litter was delivered.

The litter of kittens arrived in September 8. Five boys were named Edame (Manchego), Cheddar and Blue, respectively. They were named Babybel, Pepper, Brie and Feta. Pictured left, Cheesecake whilst pregnant, and right, Stacey holding Babybel

With the exception of Babybel, which stayed with their family, they all moved to their furever homes in November.
Stacey stated that her house had been in turmoil for several months. Cheesecake was able to take a breather by allowing Cheesecake to bottle-feed the puppies.
“She is such an amazing mum. She was always so kind and attentive. The time spent caring for them was intense and they were all my joy. Babybel fit in well with other dogs so she was kept.
