Netflix hits Bridgerton and South Korean survival drama Squid Game are among the top nominees at this year’s 60th annual Rose d’Or Awards.

Last month Sue Perkins was announced to be the new host of this ceremony. It will take place virtually for a second time later in the month.

A jury of 150 broadcast executives and producers from some the most popular series of the last 12 month voted on the nominee shortlist.
Bridgerton, a period drama star, is up for the drama award alongside fellow Netflix success, Squid Game.
HBO’s Mare Of Easttown – starring Kate Winslet, a small-town detective – has been nominated in the same category as Channel 4 Aids drama It’s A Sin and Jimmy MacGovern’s prison series Time.

Help, which featured Jodie Cooper and Stephen Graham, was also up for the drama award.
The nominees for comedy include BBC’s Famalam, Netflix’s special Bo Burnham: Inside, and Motherland, another BBC series.
Strictly Come Dancing is nominated for the entertainment award in studio alongside America’s Got Talent and A League Of Their Own.

The nominees in reality and factual entertainment are Long Lost Family: Born Without Trace; Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back; Love On The Spectrum; Married at First Sight.
The BBC’s Medical Drama Casualty is nominated under the soap or Telenovela category. Chair of the Rose d’Or Awards judges Mark Rowland said that despite the immense production challenges during the pandemic, there has been an incredible breadth of subjects and creative treatment – with production standards much higher than ever.
“Congratulations, nominees, for your amazing achievements.”
The Rose d’Or Awards will be held on November 29.
