Squid Game’s hype is finally beginning to fade, and a new South Korean drama called My Name is expected to become the next big hit.

The eight-part series centres around Yoon Ji-woo who is seeking revenge after her gangster father was murdered in cold blood on her 17th birthday.

She joins the Dongcheon gang, ran by her father’s friend and crime boss Choi Mujin who trains her up in his martial arts gym.

My Name aired for the first time on Netflix on October 15. It has already received praise from viewers for its cinematography and acting, as well as its bingeworthy plot.

It’s already soared into the streaming service’s Top 10 in the UK and has racked up a 8.0 rating on IMDb, which is just a touch behind Squid Game’s rating of 8.1.

Squid Game was a landmark when it attracted 111 million viewers from all over the globe within its first three weeks of release.
