Olivia Newton John’s husband and her daughter are devastated. They won’t travel to Australia for her wellness walk.

Olivia Newton John’s husband John Easterling is grieving and Chloe Lattanzi, the daughter of the late actress will not attend the Walk for Wellness annual fundraiser.

Tottie Goldsmith, Newton-John’s niece, shared this news on Sunrise Wednesday as she revealed that a fundraiser would be held in Melbourne next month and around the globe virtually to honor the Grease singer’s legacy.

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness Research Centre is supported by the Walk for Wellness. Australian entertainer and comedian, Michael Jackson, died on 8 August from cancer.

“I doubt John and Chloe will make it,” Goldsmith said. It’s too much for them now, it’s way too early,” Goldsmith stated to Sunrise’s Natalie Barr and David Koch. 

“But Toby Newton John is coming down as her brother and sister, all of the family who are present here. [in Australia]All the people that loved and supported her.

“It will be powerful and beautiful.”

Goldsmith stated that everyone that had met Newton-John “knows” she’ll be there in spirit. They will also be’sending light and love to everybody.”

Also, she confirmed that plans are in place to hold Olivia’s funeral in Victoria. However, it is a “fluid” thing and she ‘cannot announce anything yet.

Goldsmith added: “Chloe, John and John should grieve privately. [Getting]They would feel chaotic flying to here or in a plane.

They just want to live in their hearts and feel the same as normal people. We’ll do it, however. [the charity walk]For everyone who is in love with her.

Goldsmith said that she would’spread cancer prevention and care worldwide to honor her late aunt.

“We’re going to preserve her legacy if it’s my last,” she stated.

“The walk will be spectacular. There will be many dogs because she was a huge dog lover. This is something we want to spread around the globe.

Two weeks ago, Newton-John passed away after a 30 year battle against breast cancer.

At 73, the star passed away peacefully in her southern California home surrounded by loved ones. John Easterling was her husband.

Goldsmith is most well-known as the leader of Chantoozies’ pop band, which had hit songs with Witch Queen, He’s Gonna Step on You Again, Wanna be Up, and Love the One You’re With during the 1980s and 1990s. 

Her father Brian Goldsmith, a renowned nightclub owner and restaurateur in Melbourne, died in 2020. Rona Newton-John is Newton John’s sister.

Goldsmith was accompanied by her aunt to the G’day USA gala, Los Angeles 2020. There she spoke openly about her diagnosis of cancer.

The Australian legend admitted that she doesn’t even think about it every day during one of her red carpet appearances.

Newton-John was well-known for her iconic role in Grease (1978), as well her outstanding music career.
