The news comes after John Challis, Murray’s Only Fools And Horses co-star, died ‘peacefully in his sleep’ on September 19 after a long battle with cancer.
Challis is best known for portraying Boycie, a second-hand car dealer and cigar-smoking businessman who has a funny grin. He was part of the popular British sitcom alongside Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Following his death, Sir David Trotter, the actor who played Derek Trotter (Del Boy) Trotter, said that Challis was dear to him and that he had seen the outpourings of admiration for the show’s 40th anniversary.
