The website has uploaded footage of nude cyclists cycling around Brighton. It has been viewed thousands upon thousands.

The video, WNBR Brighton 2019, is approximately 5 minutes long. It appears that the camera pans to focus on a few women who are riding by.

Steve Sims was the co-organizer and today called it ‘disturbing that some people continue trying to find sexual satisfaction from its participants.

He stated, “It’s a constant concern that there are a number of sad individuals who cannot accept nudity and see it as an opportunity for aggrandisement among their similarly sad associates.

“They photograph in order to view them privately for their own pleasure or publish them without permission.

“The movement is pleased with videos of the rides being used for public relations.

“If pornographic videos are being posted on the Internet with the intent of providing pornography we cannot help but sympathize for the loved ones of those who reside in these places.

Sims explained that even though the UK law permits photography in public areas, there’s a line to be drawn between using the aid of subjects and taking photos in secret.

According to him, some people are seen with a large telephoto lens as well as a ladder to pry.

Brighton locals said they are not shocked that people take advantage of public displays of nudity.

Shelley Muzzall wrote on Facebook: ‘What do they expect to happen when they ride around a city ‘stark b*****k naked? It’s possible to imagine some bizarre people getting away with that.

Stephen Young stated that “The naked bike riding has to be the most disastrous event in the UK.” What did the people think would happen with so many phones around the globe that can make videos?

The ride was held for the first time since the Covid lockdown of 2020.

Sims described the movement as an international protest movement.

He said, “It has many aims. Chief among them is to raise public awareness about the alternatives to burning fossil fuels for transportation, either directly or to generate electricity for vehicles. And that cycling is one of the most efficient forms of human-powered transport ever created.

The movement promotes increased awareness by motorists of cyclists in order to make cycling safer.

“As part raising awareness, this movement also supports freedom exemplified through the right of being naked in public in a non-threatening manner and raises public profile to the annual protests around the globe.

“The Brighton Naked Bike Ride was organized by a group and will be back in 2022.”

Brighton has hosted the event since June 2006. Organisers say that they have ‘brought an eclectic mix of eco-politics, fearless frivolity, freedom to express and freedom of speech onto Brighton streets’.

After negotiations with Sussex Police participants were granted permission to go “fully nude” or “as bare as they dare”.
