Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and others were called hypocrites after lecturing the world about climate change. While reportedly vacationing on superyachts in the Mediterranean, they also urged the world to reduce their carbon footprint.
Multi-billionaire and Microsoft founder Gates celebrated his 66th birthday in Turkey in the company of fellow tycoon and Amazon founder Bezos on Friday.
Bezos was one of the 50 invited guests to Gates’ private party by the Mediterranean. It is not known if Gates’ family was present at the exclusive celebration.
According to reports, Bezos traveled to Gates’ superyacht by helicopter.

Bezos and Gates are said to be on superyachts which emit 7,020 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum, or 19 tons each day.

Social media users were furious at the fact that Gates and Bezos contradicted their own statements on climate change.
One Twitter user tweeted, “The sick and twisted for the “66th” Birthday Party,” accusing them of having a do as I say, not as I do’ attitude.
Another Twitter user commented: “The horrible energy waster Bill Gates makes a contribution to CO2 reduction by having his fat body transported to a specific place by his own yacht, then by helicopter.”

RD Carrington commented, “More from people will be bashing others next week about – Climate Change.”
Another Twitter user wrote, “These are the people putting our feet in our shoes and lecturing us about the so-called “climate crisis.”
A Twitter user with the handle ‘LynnT’ commented in response to the reports of the Bezos-Gates meeting: ‘But climate change y’all.’
Another Twitter user wondered if Gates or Bezos had any ‘no climate fear’.
Gates, once the wealthiest man on Earth, dropped to fourth on Forbes Rich List ranking with $124billion. He flew his guests by helicopter from his $2million-aweek rental yacht ‘Lana’ to the Sea Me Beach Club in Fethiye.
Insider reported that Lana boasts a swimming pool and jacuzzi as well as a beach club and gym.
According to Forbes, Bezos is worth $177 billion.
The four-hour party was private and secure. Workers at the resort were forbidden from using their phones.
Gates, who was born October 28th, enjoyed local seafood, sushi and pizza with his guests. He also enjoyed lots of champagne.
The Microsoft founder was visiting Bodrum, near Sea Me Beach, last week.
This is Gates’ first celebration of his birthday since he announced his divorce to Melinda Gates (his wife of 27-years), with whom he has three children.
Gates, 65, was shocked by his ex-wife 56 when they took to Twitter to announce their divorce.
They tweeted that they no longer believed they could grow together as a couple, but they will continue to work together at Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
In August, four months after the filing, the couple was legally divorcing.
Gates was accused of harassing and ‘womanizing’ his colleagues at Microsoft in the wake of the announcement of divorce.

Bezos was reported by Gokova to have returned by helicopter from the party to his yacht ‘Flying Fox,’ which was docked in Gokova.
After Melinda read a 2019 letter from Microsoft detailing her husband’s inappropriate sexual relationship with a female employee, their relationship began to unravel.
Gates was resigned from Microsoft’s board of director after it conducted an investigation into his previous romantic relationship with an employee.
Melinda would post heartfelt messages on social networks to honor Gates’ birthday prior to the divorce.
She shared a picture of them at Goalkeepers in 2018
She captioned it as: “It’s not secret that he is a little geeky. What surprised me the most about him was his humor.

She wrote: “Curious and fun, brilliant…and looks great with a lei,”
Melinda skipped her last year’s custom post after hearing that her husband had written a pros and cons list of their marriage.
Father-daughter Jennifer Gates shared an updated photo from her lavish, June-themed wedding. It shows her father Bill Gates gazing at her in her beautiful bridal gown.
