Covid love: Firefighter and paramedic met in pandemic while they were driving emergency ambulances. They are currently engaged and planning a child.

The baby is the result of a union between a paramedic (and a firefighter) who became acquainted while working as ambulance drivers during the pandemic.

Under their Christmas lights, Mr Green sank to one knee and Ms Biffen answered “yes”.

Their new home was moved into in March. They are currently expecting their first child, although the wedding has not been planned.

She stated, “We’re beyond thrilled.” It’s amazing. It’s so exciting to meet Martin, my son.

“He’s so determined it’s all he can do to stop me from painting the baby’s nursery after a 20 hour shift.

“I am also nervous. Being a paramedic, you know all that is possible.”

Ms Biffen, Mr Green said they had miscarriages and that they will not be getting married until their baby is ready.

He explained that although we didn’t have the best of times and were going through a difficult period, we still take nothing for granted.

Lauren is an extraordinary person. She’s going be an amazing mother.

“She is so positive and optimistic, that it’s something I love most about her.”

This baby joins two other cats Sam and Lola as well as Henry the six-year old springer spaniel Henry.

In April 2020, Mr Green offered to drive an ambulance for Southwest Ambulance Service. Ms Biffen is also a driver. He continues his volunteer work.

Southwest Ambulance Service was founded by Mr Green in April 2020.

He was so meticulous in checking over ambulances, and she found it admirable.

While Ms. Biffen has been working at the office while she is pregnant, the couple meet for lunch.

“He was so open-minded and funny that he made stressful days or emotional draining ones much more bearable,” she said.

“I believe I could have told him all of my life in just two hours.”

He continued, “I knew Lauren was one in a million. There is something special about her.” Although it’s exhausting and stressful, we can make it more bearable together.
