DailyMail.com was told by a source familiar to the matter that Phil would be called to depose in this case despite his attempts not to stop Orianne or her lawyers.
“It’s going be uncomfortable for Phil because of his notoriously shyness and private nature, but questions about his life will be asked.
‘Orianne is firm in her desire to tell the truth and feels that Phil would have to give her half the proceeds of her house. She insists that he verbally promised it when they split.
“So questions about Phil’s mental state, mindset, and personal behavior are all possible. If her lawyer can convince a jury that Phil’s mind had been affected by alleged drug or drink use, that would be a great help to her case.
‘While it may seem frivolous to discuss his hygiene and intimate relationships with her, this can paint a picture about the unusual nature of their relationship.
“The ball is now in Phil’s court about how much information he wants to make public or discuss, as these depositions will be recorded.
A friend of Bates, who requested not to be identified, added: “Orianne feels that her reputation is being question. However, she would prefer to walk away if they divided the house profits.
