Family members have released the first image of an elderly couple that was found deceased in their house just before Christmas. 

John and Beverley Taylor, both 66, were discovered at the property in Regent Crescent, Skipton, after police were called to the North Yorkshire address at about 7.30am on December 21. 

David Michael Taylor, 35 years old, was quickly arrested after the bodies had been discovered. He appeared at Leeds Crown Court, December 23, 2013. 

David is thought to have been the son of the couple and has been accused in their murder.

North Yorkshire Police published the statement of John Taylor and Beverley Taylor, which included a photograph of John and Beverley and detailed the tragic effects of their deaths.

John and Beverley’s families released a statement via North Yorkshire Police. It published a photo of them and revealed the devastating impact their deaths had.

It reads: ‘The family of John and Beverley Taylor (née Bernard), both aged 66, would ask through this devastating time they be allowed their privacy.

“They want to express their gratitude for the support they received from the Skipton community and friends. We are grateful.
