Ghislaine Maxwell claimed to be worth just £2.6million at the time of her arrest despite buying and selling £16million of mansions since 2015 and having £22million wired to her by paedophile Jeffrey Epstein to fund her lavish lifestyle.

The 60-year-old ‘favourite’ daughter of disgraced media mogul Robert Maxwell, who was a billionaire at the height of his wealth, also reportedly transferred £15million to her husband Scott Borgerson after they secretly married in a move that could protect the majority of her wealth from being claimed by victims.

Forensic accountants believe Maxwell had a net worth of £15million ($20.2million) in 2015 – but she claimed this was down to just £2.6million by the time she was arrested in 2020.

The FBI is unable to determine the exact amount of cash or assets that the child sex trafficker indicted has due to the myriad transactions between Maxwell, Epstein and other offshore funds. Private companies also bought and sold homes.

Her life of opulence as Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘second-in-command’ was laid bare in court where jurors in the 60-year-old British socialite’s trial were shown never-before-seen photographs of paedophile Epstein’s £60million fleet of jets, which he used to shuttle Maxwell and teenage girls between his lavish homes.

But Ghislaine Maxwell insisted her wealth had evaporated, forcing her to sell the London home where Prince Andrew allegedly had sex with his accuser to a property developer for £1.75 million in August. It is said to be where the Duke of York was photographed with his arm around the bare waist of then 17-year-old Virginia Roberts, one of convicted paedophile Epstein’s victims, now known as Virginia Giuffre.

Maxwell made Epstein, the son of a gardener, part of her network. The financier gave her the millions she had to help support a lavish lifestyle, which included a Manhattan apartment. He also transferred £22million [$30.7million]She was tried for eight years.

And five years ago she sold her US home in New York’s Upper East Side for £11.3million. In the same year she bought a £2million mansion with her husband Scott Borgerson in the resort of Manchester by the Sea, Massachusetts, and in 2019 she allegedly bought a New Hampshire ranch called ‘Tuckedaway’ with Mr Borgerson, where she was eventually arrested by the FBI.

Maxwell, however, is believed to have purchased the home in cash. However, those who were involved in the transaction claimed not to have spoken with Maxwell, as the Daily Beast suggests she may have used one of several of her aliases.

Justice finally caught up with Ghislaine Maxwell at this 156-acre ranch called Tuckedaway, which she reportedly bought in secret using one of her aliases

Andrew’s lawyers have ’emergency conversations’ with Maxwell verdict attorneys as experts warn that the socialite’s sentence will cause questions about what prince knew about Maxwell behaviour.

Prince Andrew’s US lawyers have reportedly held emergency talks after Ghislaine Maxwell’s convictions for child sex trafficking as experts told MailOnline the guilty verdicts are ‘not good news’ for the Duke of York whose future as a frontline royal is now looking increasingly ‘bleak’.

According to US attorneys, the Nineteenth line of succession to the British crown Should be “quaking in their boots” as her old friend will spend the rest of her days behind bars, unless she flips or ‘names names.

Experts also believe that the Duke of York’s chances of defeating the legal action brought against him by Virginia Roberts Giuffre will now be even harder after Maxwell was found guilty by a New York jury yesterday.

As she was found guilty of inducing vulnerable teens to Jeffrey Epstein’s homes between 1994-2004, the 60-year old British socialite was called a “dangerous” predator.

Miss Maxwell is a close friend who refused to testify at Andrew’s trial. To cut a deal that would reduce her sentence which would have seen her death in prison.

Andrew’s lawyers spoke after yesterday’s verdicts to discuss the fallout – but also believe the decision not to call Mrs Giuffre as a witness was ‘disastrous’ for her credibility, the Mirror has claimed, describing them as emergency talks.

Royal experts today claim that the Duke of York’s reputation has been ‘bombared’ by his friendship with Epstein, a billionaire paedophile, and Maxwell who is now in prison for sex-trafficking.

After secretly getting married in 2016, the socialite transferred most of her assets to Scott Borgerson, according to New York court papers.

Maxwell and Scott Borgerson were reportedly offering $22.5million for a personal recognizance bail. This was in addition to $8million in real estate and $500,000 in cash.

According to them, Maxwell’s and Borgersons total assets are $22.5million. This was according to a chart in court papers that requested the extraordinary bail package. It dwarfs the other prominent criminals like Harvey Weinstein.

Borgerson, the 44-year old tech CEO and whose name was withheld in the papers, wrote to the court pleading for his wife’s freedom.

“I have not seen any inappropriate behavior with Ghislaine. I am a proud and caring person.”

Jeffrey Epstein transferred £22million [$30.7million]Ghislaine Maxiwell for a period exceeding eight years. The jury heard.

JP Morgan Bank statements were presented by the prosecution. They showed that Epstein had transferred $30.7million to Maxwell from companies or individuals he controlled between 1999 and 2007.

Patrick McHugh (JPMorgan Chase Executive Director) testified in Maxwell’s Sixth Day of Trial.

According to a August 1999 bank statement, the Financial Trust Company (a company Epstein owned) sold $18.3million in shares. These shares were later transferred that day into Maxwell’s account.

Maxwell bought a Manhattan Townhouse for $4.9 Million in October 2000.

According to an Epstein-JP Morgan account statement, $5 million of Epstein’s shares were sold in September 2002. The funds were transferred from the account to Maxwell Bank at a Palm Beach bank.

It was June 2007, and the last transfer showed that Epstein had a bank account which transferred $7.6 million to Maxwell.

That same day, she also transferred it to Air Ghislaine. The documents proved that she was the owner of this company.

Maxwell wired the money the same day to Sikorsky aircraft maker. A reference was made on the transfer that the funds were for the purchase a S76C helicopter and down payment on executive finishing.

Maxwell established a culture of silence…by design at Epstein’s property, in which staff were instructed to “see nothing, hear no, and speak nothing”.

As the horrific abuse was ongoing, the jury was informed by the prosecution that the defendant led a life of luxury. The prosecution described trafficking as a way to sustain her lifestyle.

Maxwell and Epstein enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle, living in luxury at Maxwell’s properties and boasting about their friendship with prominent figures such as former US President Donald Trump.

Maxwell had many friends, including royalty. Maxwell had been friends with the Duke of York from her university days and she introduced Andrew to Epstein.

A variety of personal assistants arranged the travel, including Sarah Kellen. Many photos of Sarah were shown to jurors.

The first picture showed Miss Kellen, a young girl standing in front a Cessna 421, with Epstein hugging her and kissing her forehead. She smiled for the camera on recent photos taken in the Caribbean.

Larry Visoski, Epstein’s chief pilot, told New York’s court that he was proud to be the Chief Pilot.[Epstein]Because there were so many things that had to be bought for the various properties being acquired, we hired a variety of personal assistants.

Miss Kellen, 42 years old, was named by him as the most important person to whom he had spoken about scheduling flights. The pilot knew her number because they had spoken so many times, according to the court.

Maxwell had previously described Miss Kellen as Maxwell’s “lieutenant” in Epstein’s circle of abuse. She has also been accused of being a key figure in Epstein’s scandal by helping to recruit young girls.

In legal filings, she was named the chief fixer for Epstein who traveled the globe with her. She was also accused of “bringing Epstein’s girls to be abused”.

Miss Kellen is said to have had an “Rolodex”, a list of women who she could call in order for massages at Epstein’s Palm Beach, Florida mansion.

Epstein made a 2008 agreement with US authorities to protect the unindicted conspirators he had pleaded guilty for procuring a child.

Miss Kellen was among the four who were granted future immunity. After leaving Epstein’s employ, she started her own business, but with one of Epstein’s properties in New York.

Later, she reinvented her self as Sarah Kensington and began working as an interior designer. She has renovated corporate apartments all over New York City, Paris, the Caribbean, and Paris.

In 2015, her interior design website described how she was able to “fortunate” to have been able travel around the globe, which has in turn broadened her designing skills.

Miss Kellen is married to Brian Vickers and said last year that she was not a monster.

When approached outside her £3.4 million New York home, she claimed she was a victim, saying: ‘I’ve been made out to be such a monster – but it’s not true. Jeffrey Epstein made me his victim. I was subject to rapes and abuses every week.

Photographs of Miss Kellen are part of an evidence batch that reveals Epstein’s close relationship with luxury Maxwell.

Epstein owned a Hawker Siddeley 125 and a Gulfstream G2B helicopter. He also had a Boeing 727 he called the ‘Lolita Express,’ claiming he flew underage girls all over the globe.

This plane is over 130ft in length. The office was named “The Red Room” due to its furniture.

The jury were also shown pictures of Epstein’s £164 million property empire, including Little St James, his private island in the US Virgin Islands, worth around £50 million.

Epstein also owned the neighbouring island, Great St James, which is valued at £14 million, while he had a £12 million mansion in Florida.

Other properties included an 8,000-acre, £21 million ranch in New Mexico, a £10 million Paris apartment, and a £57 million seven-storey townhouse on New York’s Upper East Side.

A socialite turned child sex trafficker: Ghislaine Maxiwell’s journey from a young girl to become a sex-trafficker.

Ghislaine Maxwell was raised in a world of politicians, royalty and moguls. But her privilege ended abruptly when she was taken into custody and convicted for recruiting child victims to Jeffrey Epstein.

Robert, a disgraced newspaper baron, was her ‘favourite daughter’. She boasted an impressive network of contacts as well as a starry circle friends.

The French-born socialite of French descent, 58, has spent years at some of the most exclusive parties. She was pictured riding in private jets alongside Bill Clinton and with Prince Andrew.

The court found that Epstein used her to’recruit and groom’ young girls, as well as abuse them. She was also implicated in sexual abuse.

Maxwell, pictured in 1986, had been a regular on the New York social scene after meeting Epstein in the 1990s, using her connections to secure them both access

Maxwell is pictured here in 1986. Maxwell was an active member of the New York social scene since meeting Epstein. Her connections helped to ensure that they both had access.

Maxwell was virtually invisibility since autumn 2016 until her arrest. It wasn’t always like that.

Maxwell was actually a British-speaker who had become a fixture on New York’s social circuit after she met Epstein. Epstein used Maxwell’s connections to gain access to some of the most exclusive events.

Maria Farmer said that Epstein was an accuser and she felt safe because of her interaction with Ghislaine.

She said, “I trusted her because of her femininity…she was a strong woman.” She knew everyone.

Ghislaine was nine years old when she was born to Elisabeth, her French mother, and Robert the billionaire media mogul. Headington Hill Hall is where she was raised, and it’s a property that the council leased.

Maxwell attended Marlborough College before moving on to Oxford University. Maxwell enjoyed an Oxford-educated, privileged lifestyle. Her skills include being a pilot in a helicopter or submarine and fluent in four languages.

But when her father Robert, one of the most powerful media magnates — and most notorious fraudsters — in modern history, died her world crumbled.

After losing his entire family in the Holocaust, Robert decided to invest his career in Israel’s economic growth.

After falling from his megayacht, named after Ghislaine the Lady Ghislaine in 1991, he died at 68. According to reports, her mother died in 2013.

Ghislaine was then said to be heartbroken and fled New York City at age 30 to meet Epstein.

She is said to have been broke after it was revealed her father had stolen nearly £500million ($623 million) from employee pension funds. Tom Bower (Robert Maxwell Biographer) said she loved domineering, rich men.

However, the love story was far more complicated.

Maxwell made Epstein, the son of a gardener, part of her social circle. Maxwell used her millions from the financiers to provide a rich lifestyle, including a Manhattan home and a collection of designer clothes. She also received helicopter lessons.

Maxwell was Prince Andrew’s friend, and he has publically attributed his admission to Epstein as the reason for Epstein becoming a pedophile.

Maxwell is to blame for Epstein being brought to Windsor Castle Sandringham 2000. Maitlis told him that Maxwell was Maxwell’s girlfriend and that he was the “key element” in all of this. ‘He was the… plus one.’

According to the Prince, he corrected earlier reports that he hosted Maxwell’s birthday party at Sandringham. Epstein was believed to have also met members of Royal Family such as Prince Charles.

Photos have emerged showing Maxwell smiling with Andrew and Epstein during Royal Ascot Ladies’ Day 2000.

When Virginia Roberts Giuffre was 17 years old, Epstein allegedly first’sex-trafficked’ her at Maxwell’s Belgravia Mews residence. This is an accusation that the Prince repeatedly and strongly denies.

Chelsea Clinton took her photo at Chelsea’s wedding. Bill Clinton flew with her on Epstein’s private jet. The jet was named the “Lolita Express”, because it was used for ferrying young girls to his New Mexico ranch and Caribbean islands.

Also, she was photographed at parties with Epstein, Donald and Melania Donald Trump years before Epstein became an unpopular social pariah.

Tatler’s friend Euan Rellie told Tatler that every single girl arriving in New York was going to tea with Ghislaine. Jeffrey then met her. It was her face that revealed a lot about a billionaire.
