After an ex-director of a company was discovered dead in her Somerset home, friends have paid tribute to the deceased online.

While no official identification has been made, online mourners have identified the victim as Sarah Ashwell Joice, 47 years old.

One woman said: “Cant get my heads around this…this is just awful.”

‘My love and thoughts with your boys not just now but forever more and your family..heartbreaking news.’

Another said: RIP Sarah. Always remember the laughs we shared at work. You are in the arms the angels now. Until then, our friendship will continue.

Sarah, Sarah’s former director of the company was buried in the hearts and minds of friends and colleagues.

This is after police opened a murder investigation following the discovery at South Street in Wells of her body on Sunday at 2.30pm. 

Police have confirmed that the victim’s cause of death is yet to be officially identified.

Two men were arrested for murder suspicion and the death has been treated as suspicious.

An investigation into a case of murder has been opened after a victim was discovered dead in Wells.

On Monday, South Street was still under police guard as the murder investigation continued.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police claimed that officers were present at an address on South Street, Wells after discovering the body of a female.

“Officers were summoned to the site by an ambulance just after 2.30pm Sunday.

The cause of death for the woman is yet to be officially established. Detectives, however, are treating the matter as suspicious. A murder inquiry has been initiated.

Although formal identification of the woman is still to be done, her immediate next-of-kin have been informed about it and they are being assisted. They are in our thoughts and prayers.

Two men were arrested on suspicion for murder overnight and are still in custody by police Monday morning.
