According to police, a knife was all that was used in the stabbing death of a woman aged 41 who was attacked and killed at her South East London house on Valentine’s Day. 

Neighbours heard a woman screaming before ‘beautiful’ Naomi Hunte, 41, was pronounced dead in her three-storey block on the edge of a large housing estate in Woolwich on Monday evening.  

Joy Oga (34), who lives on the block, said that Naomi was beautiful, but she was obscured by the many problems she faced. 

“It’s heartbreaking to read about such a thing happening in this country.

“Last night, I couldn’t sleep. All I did was think about it. This place is dangerous. 

According to Met police, they broke down her front door at Congleton Grove’s edge. To get inside, you must arrive by 8.30 pm  

Firefighters also used axes and she could have been lying there for days, neighbours also told the Evening Standard.

Naomi was pronounced dead at the scene, and a murder investigation has been launched. 

Scotland Yard stated that she was not arrested and died from the single stabbing sound.

She was fatally stabbed, according to a post-mortem.

She was having problems with her’string’ of boyfriends, according to neighbors. 

Andrew (59), who is a resident of the block, but didn’t want to be identified said that he knew her. Her boyfriends were many. 

“I have never seen her wearing work uniforms. I didn’t see her at work in the morning. I also don’t believe she had any children.

“On the night of her death, someone heard her scream and called the police. The police broke down the front door to find her bleeding from her wounds.

Met Police spokesperson said that today the next-of-kin of the woman were informed.

Unnamed neighbour said that he did not know Naomi but she is Naomi. It’s not clear.

‘We used to chat and get to know each other, but it wasn’t friendship.

A second resident stated that she knew her to be a black woman. She lived there, but that was all she knows about her. She didn’t have any children. 

Met Police spokesperson said that today the next-of-kin of the woman were informed.

“While official identification is still in progress, officers are able to confirm that the deceased was Naomi Hunte (41), Greenwich. 

Specialist Crime is investigating the case of homicide. 

“There have not been any arrests to date and detectives are still trying to determine the circumstances surrounding Naomi’s death.”
