These mugshots of tragic consequences show how a mother-of-three aged 39 years has been affected by a 20 year-long cocaine habit.
Police pictures of Emma Ramsden from Manchester show the dramatic changes to her face and body after decades of the class A drug habit.
Her hair has thinned, her eyes are sunken and she has suffered dramatic weigh loss following the years of abuse.
The pictures emerged as Ramsden was caught at the wheel of a stolen car following a drug-fuelled 60mph chase which saw traffic forced off the road and into a tree.
She bought the Nissan Qashqai on the black market to sleep in because she did not want to stay living in a ‘crack den’ – while her children were with their grandmother.

The mugshots show the mother in police custody with matted hair, bleary eyes and pasty face caused by years of snorting the white powder.
She is far from the images she had in her youth, where she sported racy outfits and smiled proudly at her children.
Ramsden, from the Longsight part of Manchester, wept at the city’s crown court today as she was locked up for 16 months.
Suzanne Goddard, QC said that a stint in prison might be able to help her clean up and reconnect with her loved ones.
According to the court, she began developing a long-term drug dependence during her relationship with her father.
Although the couple almost ended up homeless in 2018, their mother, an elderly woman, took them in and provided food.
But they got access to the woman’s debit cards and began spending huge sums of nearly £4,000 on drugs – before slipping the cards back at night.
Suzanne Goddard QC, Judge Suzanne Goddard told Suzanne that she might need to spend a while in jail so that she can get clean and reunite with her family.
Less than a year later Ramsden was given a community order for theft and during the case her lawyer said her cocaine habit made her look ‘much older than she is.’
Police caught her again behind the wheel of a car she had stolen in a burglary two days prior to being arrested.
Miss Claire Brocklebank was the prosecution’s representative. She stated that on October 5, 2021 at 3:00 PM, a police motorcycle patrol saw the defendant cross the street and pass a car.
“He had to stop quickly to avoid collisions and turned around his bike. A pursuit ensued for approximately 10 minutes.
“The accused was seen trying overtake another vehicle coming from the wrong direction. After the defendant was seen, the officer turned and followed her.
‘The chase happened on residential roads. It involved the defendant driving on the wrong side on a dual carriageway.
“During pursuit, police used a stinger to deflate the car’s tyres. The car was unable to be controlled and kept going on the wrong side, with other cars driving in the same direction. The cars were constantly having to steer out of the way.
One time she was walking along a buslane. Her wing mirror got hit by a vehicle and it crashed into her.
“She did have cocaine in her system but it is not clear what the amount of cocaine she had. Also, she did not have insurance or a driving permit.
She said that the vehicle was accepted by her for personal use.
Ramsden admitted to dangerous driving and handling stolen property. Other offences include car theft and dangerous driving.
Mitigation defense lawyer Miss RhiaAbukhalil stated that the defendant had a life-long addiction to drugs, which she could not stop.
She had been in a relationship that was positive and she had had contact with her children. But, when this relationship ended, she went into another one with another addict and started using again cocaine.
“She’s proven that she can quit using drugs, and is now motivated to do so again.
Ramsden was also expelled from driving for eight months and four years.
“She is now in touch with her mother, who remains in constant contact with her children. Her relationship with her mother is dependent upon her use of cocaine.
“She says that she hasn’t used the toilet in one month since she was taken into custody, and it is making her feel much better.
She admits the severity of these crimes and shows some remorse. She was honest and open about her mistakes and admitted how dangerous she drove.
“She bought the car to sleep in, as she didn’t want to live in a crack house.”
She could be required to take cocaine as a part of a program, but she needs CBT in order to resolve these problems.
Ramsden Judge Goddard sentenced her, telling her that it was a sad illustration of how dangerous becoming dependent on drugs can make you.
“You have lost your children, who now live with you and are dependent on cocaine,” she continued.
You were reduced to purchasing a car to use as a bed in. Your driving was so bad that it put other road users in serious danger. It seems you were given the stimuli by cocaine to believe you could escape the police. It is very fortunate that no one was hurt.
“But, you’ve been in custody for treatment of your addiction. You would like to re-establish contact with your children once you are freed from custody. The offenses are serious enough that immediate custody cannot be granted, but you will receive support.
Follow probation’s advice to make sure you see your kids and get rid of your drug addiction. You can do it.
Ramsden was also prohibited from driving for eight months and four years.
