Following the discovery of a dead man in South Yorkshire’s street, two men and one woman were taken into custody on suspicion that they had been murdered. 

A Rotherham incident at 1.20 am was reported to police. Police found the body of an unidentified man. 

The officers have obtained two crime scene evidence and are now looking for the criminal’s motives.

The body of a Rotherham man found on Doncaster Road at 1.20am New Year’s Day has prompted police to launch a murder investigation.

South Yorkshire Police stated that ‘A 26 year-old man was arrested and a twenty-year old woman were taken into custody on suspicion of London murder. This is being investigated as a case of murder.

‘Officers attended Doncaster Road after the man’s body was found at about 1.20am today, and also Badsley Moor Lane in relation to an incident of public disorder. The formal identification of the body is still to occur.

The scene at Doncaster Road is now cleared. Badsley Moor Lane continues to be closed close to the junction with Victoria Avenue.

The officers asked that the general public refrain from approaching crime scenes while they gather evidence.
