Jurors believe Hemissi was the murderer. He was seen wearing a latex mask, pretending to pick litter for reconnaissance, when he was confronted by a dog-walker just two days prior to the attack.

The photographer showed him with his hands covering his neck, scarf around his neck and sunglasses over his eyes.

DC Jonathan Moore explained to jurors, “We bought the masks ourselves. We put them on a manequin and took some photos.”

To identify the type of mask used by the gunman, police then looked at CCTV images. But the assassin was able to disguise his mask.

DC Moore said, “The eyes were covered by sunglasses.”

The doorstep of Mr Beqiri's home in Battersea, southwest London, where the shooting took place on Christmas Eve 2019

This is the doorstep of Mr Beqiri’s Battersea home, in southwest London. It was here that the shooting occurred on Christmas Eve 2019.

“There was a tight-bound scarf around the neck so that you couldn’t see either the chinline nor the neck.

“The lips are always slightly opened, and there’s no expression …’

The police made an important breakthrough by finding a portion of CCTV that revealed the face of the gunman.

DC Moore said, “As he glances down at his phone the mask seems to roll up and create a triple-chin.”

“We shot the images at the exact same angle to make comparisons, so it is clear that either this is the identical mask or another mask.”

A court heard that Mr Beqiri had been targeted in an attack intended to create maximum terror and shock because of his connections with organised crime in Sweden.

Five Swedes are reportedly accompanied by a Swedish interpreter and they are docked together with Rollox from the UK.

Hemissi and Pino-Munizaga both from Malmo (Sweden), Karaer, in Stockholm, Sweden, Andersson, out of Trangsund Sweden all deny the commission of murder.

Hemissi is also accused of possessing an illegal firearm, in this case a self-loading gun.

Rollox of Percival Street in Islington and Isaac-Castor of no fixed address both deny perverting judicial proceedings.

The trial is continuing.
