A home is being searched by police forensic investigators in Plymouth, four miles from the site where Bobbi Anne McLeod went missing. 

Southway residents reported that officers had arrived around 8am to erect a perimeter around their property. Photographs taken around the property show police tape wrapped across the hedges that lead to one of them. 

Devon and Cornwall Police refused to confirm or deny if the activity is connected to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance and murder of Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

Bobbi Anne (18), went missing on Saturday in Plymouth. She had failed to catch her bus from the city center to meet her boyfriend. Her body was found near Bovisand Beach’s car park, along the coast path.

On suspicion of the murder of his wife, a 24-year-old suspect is still in custody. A 26-year old man was also arrested and taken into police custody.  

Yesterday police claimed they are investigating the claim that Bobbi Anne was kidnapped and raped by a group allegedly motivated by sexuality.

According to her family, the teenager was taken at gunpoint from a bus station near her Plymouth residence on Saturday by Louie Leach. Leach had reportedly waited until she arrived all night to take her.

Police are currently searching for Bobbi Anne’s remains in the same area as woodlands and cliffs at the Devon coast where her body was discovered eight miles from yesterday.

Detectives have been trying to determine if the teenager was raped or allowed to drive in a vehicle. They also want information on how many of them were involved. But a source close to the investigation was quoted by The Guardian as saying ‘it was most likely a stranger abduction’ with a ‘sexual motive being a significant line of inquiry’. 

MailOnline received a report from a family member of Mr Leach confirming that at least two men were responsible for her abduction. Police haven’t ruled out other possibilities. It doesn’t seem that she was aware of them.

She was on her way to Louie when she stopped at the bus station and then disappeared. It is unknown what exactly happened and who they are. 

“The police do not want the information to be released because it could impact on their investigation.” Officers continue to update the family and they have a lot to handle.  

Bobbi Anne’s memory was honored yesterday when tributes poured in. Smeaton Tower, Plymouth, was illuminated purple. 

Mr Leach has been staying with Bobbi-Anne’s mother and two siblings at their home in Plymouth since detectives revealed on Tuesday that a body had been discovered. 

Her disappearance was reported on Saturday evening. She was discovered dead yesterday near the car park and coast path above Bovisand beach. 

The police have sealed off a section of the coastline that overlooks Plymouth Sound, and they are collecting evidence. 

MailOnline was informed by friends that Bobbi Anne, 18 years old, had to go with a group which included her boyfriend of six month. Louie raised the alarm when she did not show up at around 8pm. According to the Sun, he was waiting at the bus station all night for her when she disappeared.

One friend stated that Louie was with Bobbi Anne’s extended family right now, and they have been supporting each other during this trying time. The two of them can’t speak. They have no words to describe the pain and suffering they’re going through. Bobbi Anne and Louie were wonderful people and truly loved each other. Louie is now suffering from the loss of his whole life. The public was thanked by her family for their love and support’.

This afternoon, forensics officers were concentrating on the grass around the bus stop where she was last seen

Numerous locals attended the Leigham bus station in Plymouth on Wednesday, to place flowers at the spot where Bobbi Anne was last seen Saturday night.

As white police officers continued searching the surroundings, many people wept as they hugged and hugged. Devon and Cornwall Police are not releasing details about her disappearance nor the reason for her death. Her family believe she was abducted.

Lee McLeod her older brother, also visiting flowers yesterday, said that he tried desperately to get hold of her phone on Saturday morning. There was four hours between 11:00 and 3:00am the day she disappeared. Then, it was turned off. It rang three times more until it finally went dead on Monday. 

Revealing that the family believed she had been snatched and held captive he told friends on Facebook: ‘Someone has my f**kin sister!!’.

Tuesday evening, her family was informed by the terrible news that she had been murdered. 

For the next 24-48 hours, a cordon will remain in place, blocking the Bovisand car park and cafe, as well as the holiday park nearby,

According to one of her close friends, Ms Mcleod found headphones and tobacco at Bampton Road’s bus stop.

On Wednesday, a sniffer dog searched the area while officers conducted sweeps on the pavement and banks surrounding the scene.

Officers also searched Thurlestone walk for woodland and collected soil samples from the bus stop.

11pm: Lee, Lee’s brother, says that her phone went into voicemail when she vanished. But it rings and continues to ring with no response.

Sunday 21 November

3.45am:Bobbi Anne’s cell phone rings but stops. It goes to voicemail.

9pm:The phone is being tracked by officers in Plymouth, but they don’t know its exact location.

Monday 22 November

10.30am: Police released a statement asking for public help. They also urged Bobbi Anne to reach out if she has it.

11am:Family is notified by police that Bobbi Anne’s cell phone was found and returned to them. According to her family, she had been taken hostage.

3pm: She is located in the same area as her family, and nearby forests are searched. The bus stop has been sealed off. Families, friends, volunteers and others also assist in the search

7.43pm:According to police, they found the body of a female near Bovisand in South Hams. Although she isn’t formally identified, officers suspect it to be 18-year old Bobbi Anne and will tell her family. Plymouth, 26-year-old men were arrested and taken into custody on suspicion for murder.

 

She stated that Ms McLeod’s Airpod headphones, and her tobacco were found at the bus station where she was last seen.

She stated that Bobbi’s Airpods were with her and she was at the bus station to prove she wouldn’t have had any trouble.

According to the 19-year old, who did not want his name revealed, “I think Bobbi had no clue who they were. It is so close, it’s been there since I was six years.”

According to her, she wasn’t able to get on a bus Wednesday morning after the body had been discovered and instead paid for a taxi.

The friend described Ms McLeod as ‘the nicest person’, adding: ‘She just used to light up the room, she always knew how to make you laugh. Her sweetness was contagious, even though she was tiny. Bobbi never grew and was small.

Nikki Leaper Assistant Chief Constable stated that investigations were ongoing ‘at pace.

Outside Crownhill police station, Plymouth she stated that the officers were supported and continuing to receive support by specialists while intensive searches and forensic analysis of various scenes are carried out.

Ms Leaper stated that the public can expect an increase in police presence to Plymouth in the next few days.

“Whilst we are aware of the public’s interest in the investigation, we remind them that it is an active and live case. We ask them to not speculate.

She claimed that Devon and Cornwall Police would provide information on the investigation as and when required, but declined to answer any questions.

Hayley Wells was a friend of Ms McLeod’s who lives near Leigham. Hayley said that her family is there for Bobbi Anne and she has many wonderful memories.

Bobbi should never have had to go through this, and she must be given the justice they deserve.

Amanda Isaacs, close friend, and neighbour to Bobbi Anne, had earlier sent an email.

She explained that while the family is grieving, they need to be able to mourn in their own privacy. However, she could not thank them enough for their support.  Amanda paid tribute to her 18-year old daughter, who she said had “her entire life ahead of” her.
