Police are looking for a cyclist caught on CCTV pushing a retired man to the ground while he was going for a morning stroll.

Hampshire Police has released footage that shows the rider getting up from his bike and pushing the 83 year-old man along Hightown Road in Ringwood around 6.35am on Oct 18.

Officers stated that the cyclist had allegedly brushed past the victim before verbally abusing him. The cyclist then fled the scene. According to the force, the pensioner was not badly injured.

Hampshire Police has released footage that shows the rider getting up from his bike and pushing the 83 year-old man along Hightown Road, Ringwood, at 6.35am on October 18. 

According to the cyclist’s description, he had dark hair that was shaved at his sides. He wore a black backpack and carried a white bag on his bike.

A spokesperson for the force said that officers believed that the cyclist traveled a similar route every day during their initial inquiries.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident, which could prove useful in identifying who is responsible, is asked for assistance by calling 101.”
