Prince Albert of Monaco looked happy as he attended today’s presentation at the Principality in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The 63 year-old Royal wore a smart black suit and silver and blue stripes tie to attend the Monaco Yacht Club event. This was in preparation for her departure to China in two weeks.
He made his appearance after Princess Charlene’s husband, Palais Princier, said that he is still a few months away from complete recovery. However, he revealed that Albert and the children were planning to visit their mother-of-2 during the Christmas holidays.
Charlene was admitted at an undisclosed facility last month after a 10 month absence from her home in South Africa.
The husband of the woman said she suffers from “exhaustion both emotional and physically”. Page Six received a report by friends saying that the two-year-old mother had ‘almost lost her life’ in her home town.

The palace stated that Albert and the children of the couple (pictured) planned to visit the princess at Christmas.
Attending today’s occasion, Albert revealed Monaco skier Arnaud Alessandria will be the flagbearer for the principality.
While presenting his speech, the monarch wore glasses. For the rest of the event, the white cover was worn by the royal.
Meanwhile, a palace statement released on December 23 revealed Albert and the couple’s children were planning to visit Charlene during the Christmas holidays, as well as asking for the family’s privacy to be respected.
According to the report, Princess Grace is “recovering in a satisfactory manner and reassuring manner” although her recovery may be slow.
Ahead of December 25th, the mother-of-two shared a sketched Christmas portrait of her family and ‘wished everyone a beautiful and safe festive season’.

Former Olympian, the former Olympian posted a colorful piece of art on Instagram depicting her in a gold gown while standing beside Prince Albert.
Her husband appeared equally charming in the drawing, sporting a navy suit with a light blue tie, while seven-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella donned all their finery for the image.
With the family posing next to an elaborately-decorated Christmas tree in the artwork, Charlene captioned the design: ‘Wishing everyone a beautiful and safe festive season, all my love.’
The royal missed the seventh birthday of her twins Gabriella and Jacques earlier this month, but shared photos of the celebration on Instagram, writing: ‘Happy birthday my babies.
As Princess Charlene is still in treatment, she shared with her loved ones a drawn Christmas portrait.
“Thank you God, for blessing me so many wonderful children. It’s truly a blessing. Mother, I love you.
A source close to the royal said that Page Six was being unfairly portrayed by a friend as someone with a mental or emotional problem.
“We are not sure why the palace downplays that she nearly died in South Africa.
According to the source, the royal suffered from a serious ear, nose, and throat infection that led to severe sinus and swallowing problems.
Although she missed her twins Gabriella & Jacques’ seventh birthday earlier in the month, the royal shared pictures of their celebration on Instagram and wrote: ‘Happy Birthday my babies!
The friend continued: “She’s not been able eat solid food for over six months since all of the surgery she’s had.” So, she has been only able to consume liquids via a straw and lost about half of her body weight.
Elsewhere friends of Princess Charlene gave Tatler a rare insight into what the royal is really like, insisting that the former swimmer is a force to be reckoned with.
According to one source, Charlene was not ‘naive’ or trapped in an unhappy marital relationship with Albert.
However, one cautioned that the seven-year-old mother of Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques was not the type to be controlled blindly in Monaco by the royal house.
‘Charlene, you are not Princess Di. One of them said. ‘She may come across as being extremely naïve, but nothing could be further from the truth. It is very easy for her to keep her intelligence under wraps.
Prince Albert and Gabriella have continued to be seen together. At a Monaco tree-planting ceremony and Monaco National Day celebrations in Monaco, the trio was joined by their twins, Prince Albert and Gabriella. There, the children held heartbreaking signs reading, ‘Miss your Mommy’ as well as ‘Love You Mommy’.
They are missing their mother: Prince Albert continued his public appearances alongside their twins, Jacques & Gabriella. Charlene held the signs during Monaco National Day celebrations.
Albert said that he has taken on more responsibility in the lives of his children as Charlene continues to struggle with her health.

‘For me, it’s pretty simple – my priority is my family,’ he said in an interview this month. “Of course, state affairs should not be neglected… That is what I want everyone to understand. It is a joy to be with my children, and I don’t hesitate when I can.
‘This is an extremely important time in their life – the way they grow up helps them see the world.
“The other parent needs to be available if the one of them is ill. Too many of my friends and acquaintances have said to me they wish they could be there at certain ages for their children. These regrets are not something I want.
Charlene was reunited with her husband, Jacques, and her twins Gabriella in Monaco this month after a 10-month absence. She had been recovering from surgery for a sinus infection that she got on a charity solo trip to South Africa.
Charlene Wittstock’s sister-in law Chantell Wittstock said that Charlene may not have returned to the palace. She also did not expect to be immediately returning to public functions. But she later retracts the statement.
Charlene left after new claims that Albert was having a third child (as well as a second) with another woman in Brazil. This happened during the same time Charlene and Albert were still together.
The French media received a lot of skeptical reaction to photographs of the reunion that they took earlier in the month.
Albert and their twins Princess Gabriella (and Prince Jacques) were waiting to meet her at Monte Carlo helipad. For the’reunion photos’, the entire family was joined inside Palace walls by a specially selected photographer.
Albert stated that the Monaco family reunion last week, after Charlene had spent six months living in South Africa for six months, went initially ‘pretty smoothly’ within the first few hours. However it became clear that Charlene was not well.
According to him, the ex-Olympian had’realized she needed assistance’ and added: “She couldn’t handle official duties, family or general life.
Albert said, “I am probably going to repeat this many times. But this does not have anything to do with our relationship.” Let me be very clear. These problems aren’t in our marriage; they don’t affect the husband-wife relationship. This is a completely different type of relationship.
He continued to say that her current condition was due to’several private factors’.
Albert added, “She had not slept well in several days and wasn’t eating very well.” Her weight loss made her more vulnerable to potential illnesses. She could get the flu, a cold, or God forbid COVID.
He stated that it was not cancer-related, or an issue in a romantic relationship.
He later confirmed Charlene has been admitted to a treatment facility for undisclosed medical issues, as she works through a period of ill health. Although the exact location has not been confirmed by multiple sources, it may be in Switzerland.
Rumours about his marital status ‘don’t bother him too much,’ the prince said.
There are no new doubts regarding the centrality of Monaco’s royal families.
MailOnline was informed by several residents who live in narrow alleyways in Monaco Ville that Charlene spent most of her time living outside of the Palace. She lived in a small two-bedroom apartment located 300m from an abandoned chocolate factory.
One source said that she saw her often outside of the Palace, but she’d usually go alone, or with a guard, and never with Albert. It was clear she preferred to be in her apartment, not the palace.
Princess Charlene met Prince Albert in 2000 during a swimming competition in Monaco and the pair married in 2011, before welcoming twins Gabriella and Jacques in 2014.
Her birthplace was Rhodesia in Southern Africa, an unreconcilled state that the British colonised. She moved to South Africa at age 11.
She had a successful swimming career and went on to win three gold medals and a silver medal at the 1999 All Africa Games in Johannesburg, as well as representing South Africa at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games and winning a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m medley relay in the latter competition.
However, the couple has received many attention over the years. In fact, last year saw the birth of a third paternity suit.
Charlene soon after shaved her half-head in the manner of a punk rocker, last December.
This was seen by many as the first indication of an ever-growing crisis, which could result in a divorce worth millions.
Charlene began her exile to South Africa a month ago, after the discovery that Albert was in yet another paternity suit.
Prince Albert announced last month that his wife, Princess Anne, had been admitted at a European facility in the days following her 10-month absence from her home country of South Africa. This October Instagram photo from South Africa shows the royal looking frail.
According to a Brazilian woman, who can’t be identified for legal reasons, her 15-year old daughter is the product of an affair she had with Albert in 2004.
Although Albert and Charlene weren’t yet engaged, they were already friends for over four years. They met at a Monaco swimming gala in 2000.
The claimant’s lawyers were to request a DNA test at Milan’s court earlier in the year. His own counsel called the move ‘a hoax.
Both parties are not commenting now, which suggests that a generous settlement might have been reached as was the case with Albert’s former love children.
Jazmin Grace Grildi (now 29) and Alexandre Coste (17), are the results of Albert’s affair with an American agent for estates. Alexandre Coste was 17 when Alexandre’s mother is a former Togolese airline hostess.
In return for large financial settlements, both children were taken out of Monaco’s succession line.
