Prince Albert said Princess Charlene would be back in Monaco “very soon” and expects South African doctors to clear his wife for travel within days.
The 63-year-old, who shares six-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella with the former Olympian, told People that current plans involve Charlene returning to the principality within weeks.
After a severe sinus infection, she was unable to travel and has been living in South Africa for the majority of the year. She also missed key events such as her 10-year anniversary and the first day of school for her children.
Albert insists that his wife will be returning home “way before” [Monaco’s National Day]on November 19,’ and adding, “she’s still in good spirits and in good form”
He even hopes Charlene, 43, will be able to join him earlier on a planned November 13 visit to Dubai’s World Expo, an international cultural exhibition, but admitted: ‘We’ll make that decision at the last minute.’

On October 8, Zimbabwean-born Charlene underwent a final operation to deal with an ear, nose and throat infection she contracted in May – with a palace source telling AFP that the procedure ‘went very well’.
However, the absence of the royal from the principality has sparked rumors about a rift among Charlene and Albert, which the pair have since denied.
Albert shared with the publication that her family misses her and that she misses the children.
The royal stated that all she needed to return to the palace where she lives with her children and her husband is a sign-off by her medical team.
On Tuesday, Charlene shared an update of her own, taking to her social media account to reveal her heartbreak following her beloved pet dog’s death after being run over.
She took to Instagram today to share a photo snuggling up with her pooch Angel, which was taken last Christmas in Monaco.

It comes after she sparked concern among fans following her latest appearance online, with some saying she appeared ‘frail’.
It is not known if Princess Charlene had had a pet with her in South Africa, or if the pet stayed with Prince Albert in Monaco.
The royal wore a little bit of makeup on her latest public appearance online and styled her fringe to one side.
Yet, her appearance on the social media post was a concern to fans. One wrote: “Get well soon. You look so frail. Take Care, hope you get to Monaco to be with your wonderful family.”

This comes just weeks after the mother of two caused concern among fans following her recent online appearance (pictured)
Last week Princess Charlene said she ‘can’t wait to get home to her children’ but made no reference to her husband Albert in an interview given in South Africa.
Charlene, who married Prince Albert II in 2011, has lived in South Africa for most of the year. This has sparked speculation that the royal couple might be heading for divorce.
They denied rumors of a rift, and said Charlene’s absence is due to her serious sinus infection. She was unable to travel and made it difficult for her to miss important events like her 10-year anniversary and her first day of school.
In an interview which took place earlier this month and was shared on Charlene’s Instagram page last week, the royal said she ‘misses her children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, terribly’, adding: ‘Any mother out there who has been separated from her children for months would feel the same way I feel.’
She said in the clip: “I came to South Africa because I wanted to supervise some foundation projects. Unknowingly, I was unwell at that time due to an infection. It was immediately treated. It caused me to be grounded for several months in South Africa.
“I had one procedure and it was very successful. I feel strong and well. I have one more procedure. I can’t wait to go home to my children who I miss so much.

Prince Albert stated earlier this month that his wife (pictured with their children), is likely to return home to Monaco by the end the month.
She also spoke about South Africa’s community, saying that she would like to spread unity and strength.
She stated, “Obviously, I would never want to touch on any political. It is possible to forget about differences and look at the future generations with less self-importance.
“Too much emphasis is placed on ourselves and not enough on the future generations to follow. What can they look back on? Who is their guide? This needs to be installed.
She spoke about the anti-poaching work that she had been doing in South Africa this past year and said: “I am determined to return and continue the work that I set out to do in many countries across Africa and in South Africa.
“Conservation, preservation and restoration are the foundations of education. This is what my foundation stands up for. We save lives.
The release of the interview came days after a palace source said her final operation to deal with an ear, nose and throat infection she contracted in May ‘went very well’.
The operation in South Africa was performed under general anaesthetic, and ‘is the last she had to undergo following her ENT infection. According to a French news agency AFP source, she will be under observation for 48-hours.

It comes amid reports that Prince Albert (pictured), ‘applied to sovereign immunity’ in his court fight to fight claims he fathered three love children before marrying Charlene
Albert stated earlier in the month that his wife was likely to return home to Monaco. RMC Radio: “She” by the end We will be back very soon, and we need to talk to the doctors within a few days.
It is reported that Albert applied for sovereign immunity in court to defend claims that he had a third lovechild before marrying Charlene.
The 63-year old prince is already supporting two illegitimate kids. It is believed that he had a relationship in Brazil with a woman who gave birth to a daughter in 2005.
His lawyers dismissed the claim as a hoax. This is especially painful because he was with Charlene at that time, who had met the former Olympic swimmer back in 2000.
It was reported last year that the case would go to court in Milan in February, however according to Town&Country, the The case was delayed after the lawyers for the prince pleaded sovereign immunity.
Lawyer Erich Grimaldi is representing the woman and said that he hopes that the judge will reject Albert’s plea. He is now waiting for the case’s return to court, which he believes will happen “immediately”.
The 34-year-old claimant – who cannot be named for legal reasons – says she had a passionate affair with Albert, leading to the birth of their daughter – whose name is also classified – on July 4, 2005.

Charlene, a 43-year-old Zimbabwean-born woman, has been living in South Africa for most of the year. This extended stay has sparked speculation that the royal couple (pictured above) might be heading for divorce
Albert received a handwritten message from the child, now 16, in September 2013. It read: “I don’t understand why my father died, and now that you have found me, you don’t want to see us.”
Last December, legal papers were also filed, as lawyers for the claimant called on Albert to undergo a DNA test – just as he did before finally being identified as the father of two illegitimate children born in the 1990s and early 2000s.
According to a source close to the Monaco Royal household, “This was before Charlene or Albert were an object, but the latest cases cover a time when she was already madly in love with him,” the source said.
“Charlene had a terrible 2012, with numerous family crises and Albert being sick with coronavirus. She’s now ready to face the hell.
The princess, whose maidenname was Charlene Wittstock was an Olympic swimmer for South Africa. She first met Albert in Monaco at an aquatic competition in 2000.
Soon after, they began dating. Charlene was married to the House of Grimaldi in July 2011.
Their twins – daughter Gabriella and son Jacques – were born three years later and are seen as the family’s official heirs.
By this time, Charlene had come to terms with Albert’s hard fought legal battles with women who eventually won financial settlements over children they had with Albert – even though he originally denied their claims.
Albert confirmed his biological fathership of Alexandre in May 2005, shortly before he was enthroned Prince of Monaco. Nicole Coste was Nicole Coste’s mother.
A DNA test confirmed Albert as the father of Jazmine grace in May 2006. This was due to an affair with Tamara Rotolo who was an American estate agent that he met while she vacationed in the South of France.
Alexandre was born in 2003 and Jazmine in 1990. According to the Brazilian woman, she traveled around the globe with the Prince in 2000s.
Grimaldi, the lawyer, stated that he had filed papers detailing his client’s love affair and trips to Brazil, France, and Russia.
According to court papers, the lovers were even reported to have met with Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, while in Moscow. He gave the Brazilian a ‘warm hug’
Thierry Lacoste, Albert’s lawyer, described the allegations as a hoax’ and said: ‘There aren’t intimate photos, there aren’t tangible facts surrounding a possible marriage.
According to negotiated financial arrangements, neither Albert’s daughter Jazmin Grace Grimaldi (now 28) nor his son Alexandre Grimaldi–Coste (17), can claim the throne in Monaco.
Instead, the line favors Prince Jacques and Prince Gabriella, six-year-olds who appear frequently in their parents’ social media posts.
The latest revelations come days after it emerged Princess Charlene’s return to Monaco had been further delayed due to further surgery in South Africa.
The Cape Town-born royal has been living in South Africa for at most six months since she contracted a severe sinus infection that rendered her unable to travel. This made her miss important events such as her 10-year anniversary and the first day of school for her children.
On Friday, her foundation released a statement that read: “Her Serene Hness Princess Charlene will be placed under general anaesthetics in preparation for her final procedure.” The Princess Charlene Foundation wishes her all the best for her final operation and her recovery.
Charlene will remain in hospital for a period of time, so it’s not clear what the procedure was like.
The former Olympian was subject to a four-hour operation under general Anaesthesia in August. However, it is not clear if this was related to the sinus infection.
Charlene and Albert reunited soon after. This was the first time Charlene and Albert had seen each other in months since the monarch and their six-year-old children, Jacques and Gabriella, flew to South Africa. However, photographs of the pair embracing were branded awkward by a body language expert.
Prince Albert has responded to rumors of marital woes by insisting that Charlene ’didn’t leave in an huff’ and remains in South Africa because of’medical complications’ due to a ‘severe ear and nose infection’.
People was told by the royal that speculation about his relationship with the Olympic swimmer had ‘affected’ them both but that he didn’t address it immediately because he was ‘concentrating on the children’.
Lifestyle magazines across Europe have speculated incessantly that the royal couple may be headed for divorce over recent weeks. Madame Figaro, a French magazine, stated that the images failed to convince the Monegasques. This is in the context of reports that Charlene is looking for a home in Johannesburg.
The magazine asked her: “How long can she be away from her children and her duties?” How long will the Princess of Monaco continue to prioritize the fight against rhinoceros poaching?
“How long will Albert II, Monaco continue to bear this affront which is becoming absurd?”
Philippe Delorme, historian, said that many people believed it was an arrangement marriage between Charlene, Albert. He also added that Albert chose a wife who resembled his mother and Charlene felt very uneasy in the Grace Kelly role she wanted her to play.
After Charlene posted professional photos of her reunion with Prince Albert online and stated that she was ‘thrilled to have her family back,’ the speculation has been growing about their marriage.
She shared photos of her cuddling up with her children in South Africa, with the caption: “I am so happy to have my family back with (Gabriella decided that she would get a haircut !!!)). She said, “Sorry my Bella, I tried my best to fix that,” referring to her daughter’s choppy hair.
FEMAIL Charlene, however, was told by a body-language expert that there was no emotional bond between her and Prince Albert in the images.
Judi James stated that the photo was not the love-up reunion photo one would expect from a couple surrounded with split rumours. Instead, the royals’ poses suggested that there were no signs of connection between Charlene and Albert.
