Canada’s Prince Andrew High School announced that it will change its name for the first time in 60 years. This is to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

In a letter to parents, Principal Craig Campbell stated that school is’ready and enthusiastic’ about the new brand which will “uphold its values.”

Nova Scotia’s educational centre was named after the Duke of York in 1960 to commemorate him.

The school announced that it would change its name to reflect the community’s pressure after the allegations of sexual assault against the royal were made.

Following a recent US court rejection of his bid to dismiss the case, Andrew Giuffre is currently facing a civil lawsuit in New York. He claims that he sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre aged 17 when he was her youngest son. Andrew strongly denies all of the allegations.

Since then, the 61-year old has been stripped of all his royal patronages and titles. He was also humiliated by the bombshell claims made this week from an ex-Buckingham Palace maid, who called him a “horrible and nasty man” and claimed that his ‘foul mouthed’ tantrums had left her in tears.

The education centre in Nova Scotia took the Duke of York's name in 1960, to honour him shortly after he was born.

Andrew’s humiliating week has begun after Charlotte Briggs his ex-maid broke down 26 years ago after she worked for him at Buckingham Palace.

Andrew was 47 when the woman accused claimed that Andrew threw tantrums on her and reduced her to tears while she was at the royal house.

Speaking to MailOnline in her hometown of Halifax, West Yorkshire, she said: ‘I don’t give a toss what Prince Andrew feels… he is a horrible, nasty man.’

Elle added, “It’s been over 26 years since I signed (a privacy arrangement) under the official secret act.

“But my husband saw the TV program during which his teddy bears were discussed and he stated that it was a good opportunity for me to share what happened with him.”

Two-year-old mother said she has been attacked in her home today by people after her revelations were made public.

Speaking to The Sun, Ms Briggs said the prince yelled at her: ‘Can’t you f***ing do anything right?’ As she raced up and down stairs, Ms Briggs noticed that the prince was only a few yards from the curtains.

According to her, “This man was a fighter for his country during the Falklands war but could not stand tall enough to shut his doors,” she said.

She said, “It wasn’t absurd at all but it spoke volumes about him,”

Ms Briggs, on the other hand, said the brothers of the Duke, Charles and Edward, along with the royals that she met during her stay at the palace were ‘wonderful.

When she was 21 years old, she began work at Buckingham Palace. Within six months she was assigned to be Andrew’s maid. It was an unwelcome job.

Andrew, who was then 36 years old and recently separated from Sarah Ferguson, was at the time. According to Ms Briggs, he would often fly and expect everything to be taken care of for him.

Prince Andrew spokesperson refused to comment about Ms Brigg’s comments.
