It’s back on the road! As she arrives in Jordan, the Duchess and Prince Charles don sunglasses and wear a dress for summer as they embark on their first overseas tour since Covid.

  • Charles, 73, and Camilla, 74, landed at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, this morning ahead of their short Middle Eastern tour  
  • The Government is hosting four-day visit by Royals to Jordan and Egypt. It will include a discussion on climate change.

For their first foreign engagement, Prince Harry and Duchess Cornwall visited Jordan for the first time since March 2020’s Covid crisis. 

The couple looked to be instantly hit by the Middle Eastern heat as they disembarked their royal plane on the tarmac at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan.

Camilla (74) reached for sunglasses to protect her eyes against the Arabian sunlight. Camilla was wearing a blue ditsy floral-print summer dress.    

They will visit Jordan and Egypt for four days and represent the Government. The topic of climate change is high up on their agenda.

Guards of honour await the arrival of the British royals in the capital of Jordan on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the British royals arrive in Jordan’s capital. Guards of honor await their arrival.

Chris Fitzgerald (deputy private secretary to Prince Charles), said that climate change was one of the major themes of the trip. He also mentioned inter-faith dialogues, women empowerment and preservation of cultural heritage as other topics.

Fitzgerald stated that the first Royal Tour in nearly two years would be at an important moment in Britain’s relations with both nations.
