According to a royal expert, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge won’t spoil their children by buying them expensive gifts, even though this is likely to be three Christmases.
Duncan Larcombe, author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, told OK! Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis might celebrate Christmas together this year.
It was speculated that Prince William would spend Christmas with Kate Middleton at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
However, he said the three-parent family would do everything to ensure that their kids have as normal a Christmas possible.
Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, six and Prince Louis, three, are likely to get three Christmases this year, royal expert Duncan Larcombe claimed (pictured at a special pantomime performance at London’s Palladium Theatre, hosted by The National Lottery in 2020)
Prince William and Kate Middleton (both 39) are unlikely to spoil children. They will ensure they have as normal; a Christmas as is possible.
‘There will be Christmas on their own with their kids, the more formal celebrations at Sandringham with William’s family and then time with Kate’s family, the Middletons,’ he said.
‘But something we know for sure about William and Kate is that they want their children to feel normal and so they certainly won’t be lavishing them with expensive gifts, that’s for certain. They won’t let them be spoiled.’
He said that the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge would likely create family traditions at Christmas at Anmer Hall, before they travel to Sandringham to celebrate the family reunion.
According to a royal author, the children of doting parents could open presents before traveling to Scotland.
He said that the family reunion wasn’t known for lavish gift-giving.
Experts believe that the Royal Family prefers to keep gift giving to a minimum. They would never give more than one person a gift.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, their younger brother, could have one Christmas each at Anmer Hall and Sandringham.
Larcombe explained that children are not given gifts by royal families and they usually get one present each. Larcombe was pictured with Larcombe on Christmas Eve 2019, with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess.
‘We’ve certainly never seen Range Rovers turning up at Sandringham piled high with presents in the boot,’ he explained. ‘There are so many children and grandchildren, it wouldn’t be practical anyway.’
But he stated that they would visit Kate’s parents Carol Middleton and Michael Middleton in Berkshire to celebrate the new year.
He added Kate’s side of the family are more likely to ‘go to town’ for Christmas because they didn’t get to celebrate with George, Charlotte and Louis last year due to Covid-19 restrictions at the time.
Larcombe stated that although the Cambridge children are likely to be given thousands of gifts by well-wishers and will not see these presents, they may still receive them.
He explained that the Royal Protocol governs what happens to gifts received from the public and that Kate, William and their children will be protected from such things.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry, George, Charlotte, and Louis are unlikely to celebrate Christmas this year with them.

Sources claimed that Harry Markle and Meghan Markle would not return to the UK to celebrate Christmas, despite having been invited to Sandringham with the rest of royal family.
They are expected to be absent from the annual Christmas dinner for Queen Elizabeth II’s extended family at Buckingham Palace.
As the Queen is still recovering from her bad back, the lunch will be at Windsor Castle.
According to some reports, Harry and Meghan declined the invitation because of the negative media attention that could follow their visit to the UK.

One royal source said to Page Six that there is a lot involved in the logistics of family Christmas. Staff know Harry and Meghan won’t be attending. They would have already communicated this to their families if they were.
“But, this is Her Majesty’s first Christmas without husband. One would hope they would wish to spend it with her.”
After Prince Philip’s death in April, this is the Queen’s first Christmas without him.
The queen, who is 95 years old, also had several health problems that forced her to miss important events and even required a hospital stay.
In 2018, Harry and Markle visited Sandringham to celebrate Christmas, a year prior to Megxit.
Buckingham Palace refused to comment on the report. MailOnline has reached out to the Duchess and Duke of Sussex representatives.
