Prince Harry shared an intimate moment with his Invictus Games colleague this morning.

After the ceremony’s opening, the 37-year old Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, both from England, welcomed David Henson, Paralympian trustee for Invictus Games, with a warm hug.

Henson is also 37 and a former Royal Engineer. He was trying to get rid of a structure of mines in Afghanistan, but he fell onto an IED.

Since childhood, he has been close to the Prince. In 2017, his two-year-old daughter Emily stole the popcorn from the Invictus Game.

Both men wore casual sportswear bearing the Invictus Games branding and black sunglasses as they were reunited in the Dutch sunshine at the Zuiderpark arena this morning.

Prince Harry, 37, leaned in to offer his friend a hug and a kiss, before the Duchess of Sussex also gave former Royal Engineer Henson a hug.

Meghan switched the glamorous off-the-shoulder white gown she wore at the opening ceremonies for something more casual on Sunday morning. She opted instead for jeans and brown suede stilettos.

They then chatted before going in to view the Games’ latest events, which Prince Harry founded in 2014.

Henson’s two-year old daughter Emily, stole Prince Harry’s popcorn during 2017 Games in Toronto. Harry also stepped out with his wife for the first-ever time at this event.

David and Hayley were worried about their chances of ever having children. Hayley was a former Royal Engineer. He was rushed to a military hospital and his sperm was frozen by the Army.

He said later that he didn’t think it through at all. But, Hayley was married to him and they decided to go IVF to get a child. And it worked the first time.

Prince Harry and Henson, both 37, looked happy to be in each other's company as they prepared to watch a second day of events

Prince Harry, 37 and Henson were happy to have each other as they watched the second day’s events.

David told Hayley that he would make Hayley happier in the days following the bomb explosion. He remained loyal to her and later, he said that Emily’s birth made their bond stronger.

David shared his feelings with the Daily Telegraph shortly after Emily’s 2015 birth: “She was there for me the whole time I was hurt, but she was only four years old when she was actually born.” When she was born, we realized that we were missing something: She.

The youngster was credited with his recovery and he expressed his gratitude for having someone to love, care and teach him.

David was from Hampshire and determined to live a fulfilling life despite his injuries. He started running just 10 months following the blast.

Since then, he has competed in the Invictus Games and World Championships. He also won a bronze for Great Britain at the Rio 200m sprint.

Meghan swapped the glamour of her off the shoulder white gown at the opening ceremony for a more casual look with jeans, a white wrap around coat and a pair brown suede stiletto shoes

The Sussexes will be protected by five security guards during Invictus Games. Harry was seen driving in his Land Rover to the Zuiderpark in The Hague.

Meghan was in the front while her four guards rode behind her in a Land Rover.

When Harry stopped the car at the entrance of the athletes, Harry lifted the couple from it and created a shield.

Each of the five were equipped with earpieces. However, none of them had any visible evidence that they carried firearms. Harry and Meghan were given VVIP status (very important person), and are protected by the local police as well as members of the Dutch royal protective unit.

After telling Invictus Games competitors they knew what “service” was, Meghan Markle took a dig at the royals on Saturday. She had previously taken a swipe at Queen Elizabeth II over her use of that word in the Megxit row.

Harry and Meghan have been the Invictus Games. The first time a European public has returned to Europe since the departure of their position as working princes.

The pandemic caused the Games at The Hague to be postponed for 2020.
