Prince Harry’s ex was open about the fact that her relationship with Prince Harry ended in a sexy split. She said she felt ‘lucky,’ as she couldn’t deal with constant attention.

Ex model and actress Florence St George, née Brudenell-Bruce, 35, who grew up in Fulham, south-west London, dated the Duke of Sussex, 36, for two months in 2011.

Henry St George was multi-millionaire, and she got married to her in July 2013. The couple spent lockdown in 2020 on the island of Grand Bahama – where Henry is vice-president of the Grand Bahama Port Authority – with their two children, Iris, five and Jimmy, three. 

However, Florence has recalled the stress of her short time dating a royal, and told Stella Magazine: ‘A new story would appear almost everyday in the press, my school friends were interrogated and there were photographers outside my front door.’

“I give my hat to people who are able to cope with this lifestyle. But I know I could not.”

From modelling to pottery! In her twenties, Florence turned heads as a model, but she could not cope with the media attention that came with dating a royal

It’s all about pottery and modeling! Florence, in her twenties was an accomplished model. But she couldn’t handle the media attention and pressure that comes with being a princess. 

Florence (pictured in 2010s) was an actress and model, but she eventually turned to pottery. 

She said, “Although it was difficult at the time. But I am grateful that our relationship ended quickly.”

Back in 2020, Florence told the Times she found dating Harry ‘terrifying.’

‘When I glimpsed for five, six, seven days — we were together a bit longer than that but that’s how long it was in the press — what it was like to be under that focus I found it really terrifying and I made a decision quite quickly that it wasn’t the right thing for me,’ she told the publication,’ she said. 

Additionally, her anxiety was heightened by being in the limelight.

She said, “It left my with a total fear and anxiety of the camera, which I believe was creeping into even before the postnatal Depression.”

Florence spoke previously about her PND diagnosis which she received after giving birth to Iris, her five-year-old daughter. 

She shared that her experience as a mom was very different to hers before becoming a mother had been difficult for her. 

Her child was her greatest challenge, and she said that it made it difficult for her to do the things that help her manage her anxiety like yoga or jogging. 

After experiencing mood swings, the ex-model shared that her family encouraged her visit her doctor. 

Prozac was recommended to her, she stated, it was an enormous help. She began to explore pottery for relief. 

According to her, pottery made her feel more like herself and she felt that working with clay was therapy.

She shared that she did not feel guilty about staying on Prozac after she became pregnant with Jimmy. 

According to the mother-of-2, she was not suffering from PND during Jimmy’s birth. Anti-depressants also helped her deal with Jimmy’s baby pulmonary hemorhage. He was then in a coma for 2 weeks.

Her success in weaning herself from Prozac after focusing her attention on pottery over two years is due to the fact that she was able to do so by concentrating on it.  

Florence appeared on The Great Pottery Throw Down and made it to the midway point of the competition last year. 

Now she regularly forages for her own clay and is currently busying herself making mugs and uploading Instagram tutorials to help other amateur enthusiasts.

Florence said pottery helped her overcome anxiety and wean herself off of Prozac after experiencing Postnatal Depression following the birth of her daughter

Florence stated that pottery was a way for her to cope with anxiety. After suffering Postnatal Depression, she stopped using Prozac.

Florence, a well-educated child from a tight knit family is one of the four children of Andrew, an Old Etonian wine merchant and Sophie’s French wife Sophie.

Florence, who was 15 when Topshop scouted her, completed her A-levels at Stowe and then began modeling in her gap years.

Additionally, she completed her History of Art degree from Bristol University. She has also modelled collections for British brand Anonymous By Ross+Bute as well as the Scottish knitwear brand Brora.

As a Swiss lover interest, she appeared in Love Aaj Kal (Love These Days), a Bollywood romantic comedy.

Also, Lewis was her TV show detective role. She had to sit on a silver-sheeted table and lie down in a morgue.
