Princess Madeleine of Sweden has seemingly drawn inspiration from the Duchess of Cambridge by wearing a similar festive look to the British royal.
The youngest of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia’s children stepped out with her husband and three children to take part in an annual royal tradition which saw them receive the Royal Palace in Stockholm’s official Christmas trees.
Looking typically chic, Madeleine, 39, sported a black high-neck jumper featuring long arms, teamed with a red check midi skirt and thigh-high black boots.
The festive outfit appeared to be almost identical to the one worn by Kate, 39, three years ago when she joined Prince William at a Christmas party celebrating military families whose loved ones were away for the holiday at Kensington Palace.

Madeleine showed off her fashion skills with her billowing skirt that featured a bow around her waist.
She paired her striking outfit with a gold bracelet and a silver watch to add glitz.
Madeleine, who lives in the US often with her family added some glamour to her outfit by adding a bit of glitter makeup.
Kate, meanwhile, teamed her tartan skirt by Emilia Wickstead with a button-down cardigan and matching black boots.
Princess Madeleine is mother to Princess Leonore, seven, Prince Nicolas, six, and three-year-old Princess Adrienne.
It looked nearly identical to Kate’s festive look three years back, which she wore when she was with Prince William at a party to celebrate military families that were away on Christmas Day at Kensington Palace.
Madeleine, aged 39, looks effortlessly stylish in her black high-neck jumper, which has long arms. It was paired with a red-check midi skirt, and black boots.
The Swedish royal palace revealed that five of the children of Princess Sofia were to be deprived of their titles by King Carl XVI Gustaf.
According to Princess Madeleine, it is expected that the move will allow them to have a more direct control over their lives.
The official announcement was followed by Princess Madeleine posting on her Instagram account that she believed the move would allow her children to have more control over her life.
The picture she shared with her three children was posted next to a statement that read, “This change has been planned since a very long time.”
“Chris and i believe that it is good for children to be given more freedom in shaping their futures as individuals.”
Madeleine, Christopher and their family moved to Florida in 2018,
