After losing both of his arms in an auto accident at 19, a professional racing driver showed how he navigates powerful racing cars around track with just one foot.
Impressive footage shows Bartosz Ostalowski, 34, from Skórka, Zgierz County in Poland, competing in a race using one foot on the wheel and the other on the pedals, along with a shoulder-operated gear selector.
The footage, which was taken on August 1, shows Ostalowski burning tyre rubber as he takes part in drifting, a professional sport that requires rapid gear changes and repetitive handbrake use to slide the car round a track.

His world was turned upside down in August 2006 when he was in a terrible motorbike accident that left him with both his arms above the elbows.
Despite looking grim for his driving career, he didn’t give up. He decided to prove all those who believed he wouldn’t make it wrong.
Ostalowski said, “It’s a huge shock.” My world crumbled.
‘All my life, I had done everything to become a professional driver. My studies were supposed help me as well.
“I wanted to gain knowledge in car construction. In an interview with wp.pl, he stated that suddenly everything lost its meaning.

A professional driver can shift gears with a manual system using special paddles that Mr Ostalowski developed with his team.
Mr Ostałowski has since won multiple competitions including Automotive Influencer of the Year.
Bartosz’s manager, Sławomir says he is an ‘inspiration’ to many people because he doesn’t ask for special treatment.
Sławomir said: ‘Bartosz inspires many people. It is a reminder that the impossible doesn’t exist and that it never fails.
“Other drivers admire Bartosz. But treat him as an able-bodied competitor, and fight him in equal conditions.
According to his website, Ostałowski has an ‘international FIA racing licence and successfully competes on equal terms with skilled drivers in the Polish Drifting Championships and European leagues.’
It also states that he “proves the impossible is possible and inspires others in order to overcome their own obstacles.”
