The Queen returns to her desk to perform her first official engagement since doctors told her to rest after a night in hospital.

The Queen held virtual audiences at Windsor Castle for her first official engagements since she was placed on rest by doctors.

This is the first time that the head of state has been viewed – even on a screen. It was the reception she hosted for the global investment summit, which took place on October 19.

The Queen cancelled her trip to Northern Ireland, and had preliminary tests at the hospital on October 20, during her first overnight visit at a medical facility in eighteen years.

She wore a yellow dress with her three-strand pearl necklace and a yellow skirt as she met Gunn Kim, the ambassador from Republic of Korea, at Buckingham Palace today.

It is still hoped that the 95-year old monarch will be able lead the Royal Family at next week’s Cop26 climate summit in Glasgow via videolink or in person.

This week’s final decision will be made. Buckingham Palace yesterday said that the Queen was still feeling well and was performing some ‘light duty’ while she rested.

After being told by doctors to rest, Her Majesty has returned to her duties.

Sources claim that the Queen is now taking the doctors’ orders to relax seriously, having been admitted to hospital last Wednesday night for preliminary investigations.

One of her highlights is being driven to walk her dogs at Frogmore on her Windsor estate. This is where her grandson Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle lived.

Friends and family believe that these daily excursions are a tonic’ and have helped to keep the Queen so ill. Staff have walked the dogs since her hospital stay.
