Russia is now using a top-secret missile called’starwars,’ which can be used to destroy satellites and nuclear weapons.

According to defense sources speaking to TASS, the S-550 missile defense system “has entered combat service”.

Although little information is available about this missile, Russia is believed to have launched it as part of its latest space arm race. It is designed to destroy targets up to hundreds of miles from earth, such as satellites and nuclear warheads.

Moscow was believed to have conducted a test using this weapon system. It blew up one its defunct spy satellites last month, angering Washington.

Vladimir Putin is rapidly increasing his military strength as he adopts a more assertive stance towards eastern Europe. He pressures NATO for new security guarantees to Moscow, and builds alliances in China.

Currently, Russian troops are stationed at the Ukrainian border with up to 100,000 soldiers. This is despite warnings by the Pentagon about an imminent invasion.

After rumoured testing (pictured), Russia’s S-550 star wars missile system is now in active service.

The new missile is thought to be the same one that was used to blow up a defunct Russian satellite last month, and is also capable of shooting down nukes and orbital hypersonics

It is believed that the new missile will be identical to one used in detonating a Russian satellite last month. The missile can also shoot down nukes or orbital hypersonics.

The Kremlin is rumored to have organized a series of wargames that NATO leaders fear are rehearsals for an invasion.

TASS Today was told by a source within the ministry that: ‘The S-550 Air Defense System has completed successful state trials.

“The S-550 first brigade is now on combat duty.”

The technology was described as being superior to Chinese and Western capabilities. He also said that it’s a ‘completely new and unrivalled mobile strategy missile defense system’.

According to Sergei Shoigu, the defence minister said that S-550 anti-satellite was one of those new weapon systems Putin requested should be rapidly-tracked.

Despite this, the reported deployment of its rocket force forces with Russia is ahead of what was expected.

TASS claimed that no official channel had confirmed the exclusive claim of the defence ministry source.

S-550 and S-400 Triumf are part of an air defense modernization that includes the S-350 Vityaz (S-350 Vityaz), S-400 Triumf (S-500 Prometheus) and S-350 Vityaz.

It was said that they will “completely cover” the Russian skies from any possible attack.

Russia deployed the new missile amid heightened tensions with the West, with up to 100,000 troops sitting on the Ukrainian border as the Pentagon warns they are preparing to invade

Russia launched the missile in the midst of increased tensions with West. Up to 100,000 soldiers are stationed at the Ukrainian border, while the Pentagon warns that they are planning to invade.

Russian media reports that the S-550 may be the same weapon used to kill satellites has been substantiated by recent Russian information.

Pro-Kremlin Izvestia claimed it was part of “one the most covert domestic arms programmes” that had ever been conducted.

The star wars weapon is now being suspected in videos showing Sary-Shagan’s launch of an unknown new missile system in 2020.

The report stated that Russia’s creation of a system for space defense capable to intercept both ballistic and satellite missiles has been underway for more than ten year.

“For many years this combat system was well-known by the Nudol name.

‘Specialists assume that this was precisely the system that successfully destroyed a satellite target during its first combat tests on 15 November…

“Experts feel that the final weapon design has been finished and the S-550 air-defense missile system can now be officially designated.

Sergei Shoigu, Defence Minister, personally classified the S-550 designation prior to the November before test that decimated the redundant Soviet-era Tselina-D military surveillance satellite.

Dmitry Boltenkov (military expert) stated this last month. The official name of the Nudol system under development will be S-550.

“It will become part of the S-500 Family, like the various versions of S-300 or S-400 air defense systems currently in existence concurrently.

Some outlets suggest that Nudol’s S-550 is separate from Nudol.

Nudol is believed to have used a silo launcher while the S-550 was mobile.

TASS last month reported that S-550 uses the kinetic energy interceptor principle in order to prevent a nuclear explosion when a warhead strikes, citing Dmitry Litovkin, a military expert.

The S-550, he suggested was a mobile continuation to the A-135 Amur and A-235 Nudol.

Both Western and Russian sources indicated last month that the Nudol “satellite killer” was responsible for the strike, which provoked anger in America and Europe. It claimed it put at risk the International Space Station.

State-controlled Russian Channel One TV host Dmitry Kiselyov – dubbed Putin’s ‘mouthpiece’ and ‘propagandist-in-chief’ -claimed the satellite strike was a deliberate warning to the West not to cross the Kremlin’s red lines on Ukraine.

He claimed that Russia could destroy 32 GPS satellites critical to NATO’s military operations and pinpoint missile strikes if relations worsen.

Putin prioritises modernization of his military might, despite an economy that is slow and has been hit by sanctions. The result? Tens of millions of Russians are living in poverty.

Last week, the Russian leader announced an ‘unstoppable Zircon hypersonic rockets of 6,670 mph that had passed a flawless salvo test.

However, no footage of the event has been made public.
