Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, 62, who is commonly referred to as Fergie, put on a stylish display in a black poloneck dress, a leather jacket and low court shoes as  she attended a book launch at private members club Annabels in Mayfair.

Earlier in the day Fergie was all smiles as she left Europe 1 radio studios in France.

As she left the building, you could see her clutching a bouquet of beautiful flowers as well as waving at all those in need.

The mother-of-two was giving an interview to Radio France’s Historiquement Votrre programme about her book Her Heart for a Compass, which is now available in a French version.

The Duchess was seen wearing her bright red hair down in a coat made of houndstooth, which she combined with plain black clothes.

Sarah went for a bold eye, a blusher touch and smokey eyes for the occasion. Sarah also added nude colour to her lips.

The Duchess of York (pictured) was discussing her debut novel which was co-written with Marguerite Kaye

The Duchess was speaking about her debut novel with Marguerite Kaye (pictured).

Her Heart For A Compass is The Duchess, which draws upon Sarah’s journey in life and incorporates research into her family history.

Marguerite Kaye wrote the novel with her. Kaye has over 50 historical romances.

However, it received mostly negative reviews in the press after hitting the shelves in August.

The book was criticized by critics as ‘boring’, a slog and lacking sex. It also featured an ill-informed main character and a voice that oscillates between contemporary and archaic. Almost all commented on the lack of sex and said it was at the ‘PG end’ of Mills & Boon.

Sarah stated that she was ‘unified’ behind the project with Margarete Kaye (co-author) at the time. Margarete has more than 60 books.

In 2022, she will publish her second romance historical novel. This book will be written with Kaye.
