Midfielder for Sheffield United John Fleck was taken to the hospital following a fall on the pitch in his Championship match against Reading.
The Blades were leading 1-0 thanks to Jayden Bogle’s 56th-minute strike when Fleck collapsed on the pitch. The team immediately called 911 to get medical help.

Sky Sports News reports that Fleck was conscious when he exited the stadium and was able to stand using an oxygen mask. He still required assistance to get out of the stadium.
Sheffield United’s official Twitter account confirmed that the midfielder was conscious when he left the stadium and wished him well in his recovery.

On Tuesday night, the 30-year old received urgent medical care on Tuesday pitch at Madejski Stadium. He was then transported to hospital.
Sheffield United used Twitter to inform fans about Fleck’s hospitalization.
Play is still being restarted, but the Scottish Midfielder is up and about receiving medical treatment.

South Yorkshire Police stated that John Fleck had been alerted and was communicating with emergency personnel following the horrific incident. We wish John Fleck a speedy recovery.
Fleck was given a standing ovation by the crowd, and then he was taken off the pitch to be transported to the nearest hospital.

After Fleck’s departure, play resumed with Conor Hourihane as the middleman. A further thirteen minutes were added to the match’s stoppage.
Sheffield United held on to their 1-0 victory and gave updates to Fleck to their fans after the match.
