A graphic footage of the scene in which a man, naked, was fatally attacked outside an apartment building in Brooklyn shows this grisly crime. This is just as the number of violent crimes continues to rise in New York City.

Vitor Bauza (56), was arrested Saturday for murder and criminal possession with a weapon in connection to the grisly murder of Ernest Diaz (41).

The NYPD reports that Diaz, who was found lying at 303 99th Street in Bay Ridge on Friday afternoon, had received multiple stab wounds to his stomach and chest. Shortly after being discovered, Diaz was taken to Lutheran Hospital NYU Langone where he was declared dead.

Diaz was reported to have lived in the same apartment as Bauza. According to the New York Post, a custodian saw Bauza and Diaz in the lobby. There were numerous stab wounds. He was said to have taken the elevator from fifth floor, and then stumbled down.

Bauza who fled from the crime scene at first, later surrendered to cops, according to police.

Vitor Bauza 56 (left), is alleged to have stabbed Ernest Diaz 40 just outside the Bay Ridge Apartment Complex in Brooklyn.

CCTV footage of Diaz shows that a man covered in blood is seen following him back inside the building. After stabbing Diaz, he fled and returned to the scene to continue to attack the victim.

Later on, we see the victim falling to the floor.

Edgar Walker of Brooklyn Supreme Court ordered Bauza be detained without bail, until his December 3rd court appearance.

Arthur Aidala, Bauza’s lawyer, confirmed his knowledge of Diaz “for a very very very long time” and described the grisly murder as an “abnormality” and “so outlandish for him.”

When reached for further comment on Tuesday, Aidala refused to answer DailyMail.com’s questions.

Aidala said that Aidala was a very good person who was involved in an accident that took seconds. It’s not as though he is violent, aggressive, or a violent individual in any shape or form.

Bauza’s family was present in court but refused to discuss the case. They snapped at journalists on their way out.

Bauza’s aunt said, “He is my nephew.” He’s a nice person.
