Supermarket shoppers shared their amazement at finding chocolate Easter eggs on supermarket shelves even though it isn’t December yet.

Customers from Britain visited their local stores over the weekend to be shocked to discover that they have already started stocking hot cross buns and chocolate eggs, 16 weeks ahead of Easter Sunday.

Some called shops rampant consumerism and asked for the seasons.

One people asked 'what even are seasons' after spotting Easter stock at their local Tesco, while Christmas music played on in the shop

After seeing Easter stock in their Tesco local, one person asked “what ever are seasons?” while the Christmas music was playing inside. 

Although Easter will not be here for four more months (111 days), supermarket chains have already begun to lure customers with chocolate egg deals.

These disgruntled shoppers snapped photos of Cadbury mini eggs and Mars pouches, as well as Creme Eggs stacking up on shelves. 

Co-op also had hot cross buns with the words “happy Easter” and displays of Easter Eggs at Morrison’s, Asda, and Morrison’s.

Surprised customers reported that Waitrose stockpiled Easter Eggs even before Christmas Eve.

Unhappy customers pleaded with Tesco to let them forget Christmas and get rid of all the excess weight before they start stuffing Easter eggs. 

Someone claimed that Creme Egg Ice Cream was back in Tesco, and that Co-op also had Easter goodies.  

Many laughed that it was Easter Sunday according to their neighbors, underscoring the absurdity. 

‘At Tesco. Two days after Christmas. Stock of Easter is on the shelves. You can also hear Christmas music through the tannoy. One asked, “What even are seasons?”

I just went out to buy paper from my Morrisons. Shame on them, they stock Easter eggs and this is the first time that one has been hammered. 

‘P*** off Tesco it’s the 27th December, Christmas not Easter,’ one wrote.  

Bet Asda currently has Easter Eggs available. One other said, “The rampant consumerism of the present is real.” 

One tweet read, “I’m just popping by Asda to pick up some Easter eggs. I’ll be back soon.”   

Creme Eggs available at our Co-op. There are twelve days of Christmas in this house, which start today. This may just be humor. It’s impossible to tell. “One said.
