Lewis Hamilton changed his style preference to not be outlandish as he arrived at Windsor Castle today to be knighted.
For the occasion, the 36-year-old Formula One racer wore a black suit with a blazer and added a unique twist by wearing a diamond-encrusted brooch. This was presumably in order to match his newly-recorded medal.
Lewis ditched the traditional lacy shoe in favor of statement boots, which were worn by Met Gala attendees in New York. He kept his earrings, nose stuf and silver rings for the event.
Lewis is famous for his bold style. He was seen last month wearing a Burberry kilt and matching pants at the Turkish Grand Prix preparation days.

Lewis spoke out about his passion for fashion and admitted that he used his style to help him succeed in his travels around the globe to take part in Grand Prix events.
The season continues, but Lewis took some time off from training to go to Paris Fashion Week in September and the Met Gala in New York. He bought a table for young black designers.
He told The Times: ‘When you’re in a fashion week you’re surrounded by people from all different walks of life expressing themselves in different ways, and I love that environment, where I’m able to express myself. This is what I do now on the racing track.
“I love the freedom to get away from the sport. The intensity of this whole season is difficult for everyone that’s at the track, and so to be able to have something else — another outlet, something else that you can focus on — helps take the weight off of it.
‘And so when I come back, it always feels fresh when it comes to a grand prix, because it’s not something I’ve been thinking about every single day.’
