Meanwhile, Judi posted a frank update from bed as she continues to battle COVID-19 earlier this week.
She shared with her followers in a video that the “coronavirus” is real. She also detailed all the ‘West Indian home remedies she’s used for her symptoms.
The comedian admitted to having had a rough few days and warned fans that the increasing prevalence of the illness should make it more urgent for them to ‘get their health in order’.
Posting a video from her bed, Judi said: ‘I don’t even know what day it is. Some kind of motivation day.
Candid update: ‘I just wanted to say to you guys that Rona is real. I am grateful that I did not do much exercise or dance. It’s easier than I thought.
‘Rona is real. I am grateful that I did not do much exercise or dance. I feel like I can handle it much better than if I had not done little exercise and got a little sweat.
‘You can hear my voice, I have done all of the West Indian remedies and recipes, for those who are West Indians, especially Jamaicans. I eat the garlic, onion and turmeric, the honey – the expensive one, Manuka – the ginger. The lime, lemon and rum are also my favorites.
“I’ve had all kinds of soup – chicken feet soup, lamb neck broth soup, red peas and my voice is still the same. Rona will then turn to you and say to her, “You know what? On top of that bredrin I’m not going make you able smell or taste.”
“I can’t even smell my own body, and I know some of yours,” he said. Not required You must smell good. I just wanted to say that I’m here.
“It’s been a difficult couple of days, and it’s about you to get your health in check. Health is wealth. I don’t mean catching that check. I mean to have good health so that you can live at your best.
“You can continue creating memories and having life experience, spending quality time with loved ones, and you can continue creating memories because Rona… Rona has my locked up in here like I am the woman from Orange Is The New Black,” the star said.
“Rona has me sleeping out here like someone who has no ambition!” ‘Rona has me standing at the window waving like a Black child who wants to play on Sundays. Her mum says, “You are crazy!” That’s exactly what ‘Rona’ is doing to me!
She joked, “I mean Rona has got your coughing so bad you’re begging for sponsorship from Tena Ladies.”
She laughed and said, “I mean Rona has got your coughing so bad you want to be sponsored by Tena Ladies!”
Rona will take you from your family, and you will miss them even if you’re in their yard. Some of you may be living that way anyway, while others are locked in their rooms, on their phones, or in their bedrooms. You forget you have family next door. Spend time with them, Rona won’t miss it.
‘Rona acts like a player. ‘Rona’s going from one body to the next, making you believe it’s not going on to everyone. But it’s really spreading around in everyone and you’re certainly not the only one.
“Rona is out there like a Tyrone. As I said, take care of yourself. This is not just for Rona, but for all of us. Your health is your greatest asset.
“I just want you to know that I appreciate all your well wishes.” She signed off, saying she loved you.
Another chance: The presenter will be given a free pass to compete in the show the following week- providing she has a negative Covid test
The presenter, who was scheduled for the Cha-cha with Graziano (27-year-old dance partner), was granted a free pass to compete in week two of the show provided she passes the Covid test.
Judi is the second star to miss live shows due to Covid. McFly’s Tom (36), and Amy (31), missed week two of the series.
A spokesperson for Strictly stated that Judi Love tested positive for Covid-19, and is now self-isolating according to the latest government guidelines.
“Judi and Graziano will not take part in Strictly Come Dancing on this weekend, but Strictly Come Dancing protocols indicate that all being well, they’ll return the following week.”
Not alone: Judi is the second star to miss a live show due to catching Covid, with McFly’s Tom Fletcher, 36, and his dance partner Amy Dowden, 31, missing out on week two of the series
MailOnline was informed by a source that Graziano had not tested positive for Covid-19.
Her absence comes weeks after fellow contestant Tom and Amy, his professional partner, had to withdraw from the competition after they were also tested positive for the virus.
Strictly stars this year will have to pass regular Covid tests and be socially distancing throughout filming.
The couples have created Covid-safe bubbles to train and perform, but they are forbidden from mixing.
The government changed its Covid guidelines this year. Contestants who test positive for Covid are now only required to isolate for a period of 10 days. Contestants who have been double vaccinated can also end their isolating within eight days if they are negative for Covid.
Strictly’s bad luck continued last week when Ugo Monye, a rugby star, was forced to withdraw from the show because of injury.
The 38-year-old rugby union player shared his story with fans via Twitter, revealing that he was experiencing ‘back problems’ and would be back in the following week.
Ugo’s announcement was made just days after Robert Webb left the show. Webb admitted that he had ate too much and that he has an ongoing condition in his heart, two years after undergoing open heart surgery.
