Texas 22-year-old student, who suffered several heart attacks from the crush at Travis Scott’s concert that killed her, has been declared brain dead.
Bharti Shahani, a senior at Texas A&M, remained on a ventilator at Houston Methodist Hospital last night – four days on from the tragedy that killed eight people.
Her distraught father shared with ABC13 that doctors told her family she has ‘no chance’ of survival.
She attended the concert along with Namrata Shahani (sister) and Mohit Bellani (cousin), but was separated by chaos Friday night.
“Once one person was fallen, other people began to fall like dominos.” It felt like the earth was sinking. Bellani said that everyone was falling over each other.

Bharti’s father, distraught after hearing that doctors had told her family that her survival chances are “none”, told ABC13.
“There were layers upon layers of bodies, two to three people high. It was difficult to get up and breath to survive.
Shahani suffered from a lack of oxygen for several minutes. This, doctors believe, led to her brain stem swelling – which connects to the spine.
Namrata Shahani, Bellani both lost their mobile phones and could not find Bharti.
Namrata said to the station, “Once she let go of his hand, the next thing we saw her was in the ER.”
When they got the news, her parents ran to NRG Stadium. They then traveled to several hospitals around Houston to find Bharti.
“They brought us into her room and found that she was already bleeding. My wife and I were both too stunned. Sunny Shahani, Sunny Shahani’s father, said to ABC that they couldn’t stand there.
Bellani said that she believes Bellani lost oxygen for ten minutes and seven minutes each time. So her brain stem almost swelled to 90 percent.
Bharti (computer programming student) was scheduled to graduate in spring. He had also secured a summer intern.
According to her father, she was going to assume the family’s business.

Scott stopped the show at least three times, but he did not stop it for thirty minutes. This was after the city declared a “mass casualty” event.
Last night, it was reported that Scott had reportedly been seen with Drake at downtown Houston following the tragedy. Concert-goers were fighting for their lives or dead.
Scott, aged 30, performed for as long as 30 minutes. People were injured and people shouted “Stop the Show” at NRG Park Houston.
‘Travis didn’t know the severity of the situation when he arrived at the party,’ a source told TMZ.
“As regards timing, this is consistent with the fact no one, including police, had publicly confirmed that the gravity of what had happened.”
A rapper who claimed he was devastated by the loss of loved ones, and that he couldn’t imagine anything similar, has been twice found guilty for encouraging his fans to leap security bars and rush the stage during previous concert performances.
Drake, age 35, described it as a “devastating tragedy” in an Instagram posting Sunday night. He wrote: “My heart breaks for the families of those who have lost their lives, and anyone else who is suffering.
“I will pray for them all and be there to help in whatever way possible.” All of you, may God bless.
