Tristia Harrison (CEO) told The Mail Sunday that she had informed her staff that hormone replacement therapy will be covered by the company. It is a procedure that relieves symptoms of menopause.

Menopause is a condition that affects women aged 45 to 55 after their period stops and when fertility ceases. The symptoms can include headaches, hot flushes, pain in the joints, nausea, and memory loss.

A prescription for HRT costs £9.35, or £18.70 if a woman needs two types of hormones.

Ms. Harrison, 48, stated that she is working to retain women in the workforce longer, after research showed many menopausal women end up cutting their hours or leaving the job due to debilitating side effect.

A survey of 3,800 women last month found 99 per cent believed menopausal symptoms or perimenopause – the transitionary period before – led to a negative impact on their careers.

Louise Newson conducted the survey and found that 59% had been forced to miss work as a result of their conditions.
