Actress Vivica A. Fox shared last night a touching message from Regina King to Fox after spending the weekend with the actor, who lost her son last week.

Fox Soul’s ‘Cocktails with Queens’, the 57 year-old spoke out in tears, saying that after King Jr’s death, she had been through “one of my longest weekends” with her grieving friend.

Fox stated that Fox had told everyone she received texts from her. King was also informed. “The love and support she received from her family, friends and son was overwhelming. She is grateful for it.

Alexander Jr., who was the youngest child of actor, director, and actress, whom she had with her ex-husband Ian Alexander Sr. just 26 years old when he committed suicide.

Fox said that she was there with Regina on her chat last night. ‘She’s okay.’

Her three co-hosts told her she made a U-turn when Regina texted her asking to meet her.

“I did not think about what was I doing and where it would take me, so I went to visit my friend. Fox broke down and said: “My sister.”

“On my way to there, I had the need to phone and ask people: “What do they say?” “I’m afraid, and I don’t want it to go wrong.” She’s so strong,” she said.

She told her hosts, “More than any other, I’m glad that I got to hugher and look into her eyes,” “This weekend was absolutely the most difficult I have ever experienced in my whole life. It is almost like I cannot stop crying.

Fox urged people to be attentive to their kids and to anyone who may have mental health problems, particularly during difficult times.

She stated, “I’ve never even considered the possibility of suicide in this community.” You can’t believe how many people have taken their own lives. This is the frightening part. It’s because they are just deciding to leave.

She blamed ‘Covid and everything’ for many people being ‘in a dark spot, in a dark place,’ and causing them to struggle and even consider the extreme.

“If you see signs or any indications of someone being in distress or if anyone reaches out and is just not feeling well, stop. Take a minute to check that they are okay,” she said.

The director of One Night in Miami gave her a message that she was hopeful, declaring that she had witnessed an amazing thing when she got to his home.

Fox declared, ‘She’s surrounded by love, y’all. Fox spoke of the beauty in Fox’s statement that her community was there to support her when she got there. This refers to Black media and actors. It was amazing. I was proud to see it.

She said, “We are gonna get through it.” We will get through it. However, she is OK and wanted to let everyone know how much she appreciated the love.

The King’s spokesperson confirmed the death of her son in a Saturday statement. It read: “Our family is deeply devastated by the loss Ian.”

They had matching tattoos that read ‘unconditional Love’ in Aramaic.

King, a 2017 Viewer said that they were learning Kabbalah classes. 

‘He said, let´s choose three designs each and not tell each other which ones they are and whichever one is matching, that´s the one we´re going to get tattooed – and we both chose unconditional love.’

Alexander shared a touching tribute to his mom on Instagram last year for her 50th birthday. It read: “To be able watch you hold this life by the neck and make it yours, is something I (sic] will always be grateful for. To have you as my mom is the best gift I could wish for.

King posted a video of Green Eyes’ latest song, “Green Eyes,” on Instagram last week. She encouraged her followers to listen. She spoke out about the bond between child and mother in a People interview.

‘You don´t know what unconditional love is. You may say you do, but if you don´t have a child, you don´t know what that is,’ said the Oscar, Golden Globe and four-time Emmy winner. ‘When you experience it, it´s the most fulfilling (thing) ever.’
