One tech billionaire was accused of keeping a record of over 5,000 women that he had sexual relations with. He paid for one teenage girl to remain silent, while he kept his highly-publicized job after a 2016 allegation of sexual misconduct.
Four former employees have sued Michael Goguen (57), a Sequoia Capital partner who is now the head of his firm. They claim they were involved in managing his “harem” of women.
In the lawsuit, it is claimed that the investor had met the women at safe houses in Whitefish or in a room called a boom boom in his basement bar. Whitefish is in Montana where the plaintiff now lives.
According to the lawsuit, the billionaire married father of two asked his worker to set up a date with a friend who was too intimately involved in his private life.
Retired Whitefish police chief says Goguen, whom he likened to predators Harvey Weinstein or Jeffrey Epstein, ‘has got to stop’
These are the latest allegations of sexual impropriety leveled against Goguen, who in 2016 was accused of ‘countless hours of forced sodomy’ by his former girlfriend, exotic dancer Amber Baptiste.
Michael Goguen (57) is currently the focus of a $800 million lawsuit brought by ex-employees who claim they managed a “harem” of women that were being used by tech investors for sex.
Some encounters involving underage girls were allegedly held in Casey’s basement bar in Whitefish Montana.
Amber Baptiste (exotic dancer and ex-girlfriend) accused Goguen, in 2016, of physical and sexual abuses. Later, a judge dismissed the suit of Amber Baptiste, a former girlfriend and exotic dancer. He ruled in favor Goguen’s countersuit
The latest 135-page lawsuit was filed in February by former employees of Goguen’s Amyntor Group LLC, a security contractor, according to the New York Post.
The document outlines Goguen’s complex operation to safeguard his multiple affairs. Ex-employees and friends who threatened not to talk about the conspiracy and how it fell apart can trace the trail of its collapse and those who ran it.
Matthew Marshall is one of the plaintiffs. He was the ex-head of Amyntor and quickly rose to be Goguen’s ‘right-hand man’.
Marshall, who claimed to be an elite Marine Corps Marine Corps officer and requested money from Goguen to fund ‘off the book’ missions according to Flathead Beacon, pleaded guilty to wire fraud earlier in the month.
Marshall claims that Goguen is married to his fourth spouse and has allegedly maintained a “harem” of women including strippers and married women. He also reportedly bought houses for prostitutes and other women for illicit sexual activities.
DailyMail.com reached out to Goguen for clarification but he did not respond immediately.
According to The New York Post, the tech investor has a net worth of more than $5B.
Some of his passengers flew with him in his $42 million private jet.
‘Marshall was being asked to purchase, out of his personal accounts, vehicles, jewelry, earnest money deposits on properties, and to provide cash or other items for Goguen’s mistresses, or as hush-money payoffs to Goguen’s acquaintances and employees who had “learned too much” about Goguen’s sexual misconduct and crimes, and the Goguen Sexual Scheme,’ the lawsuit states.
‘Goguen informed Marshall it was best to have him pay the property expenses, especially any expenses that were solely for Goguen’s safe houses, out of his personal account to avoid his then wife Jordana from discovering that Goguen owned a number of properties that he used extensively for extramarital affairs because Jordana had visibility over Goguen’s accounts at that time.’
This lawsuit seeks damages of $800 million and alleges various violations to Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Acts.
Goguen was married to his fourth woman.
According to reports, the tech investor may have relocated to Montana in order to open a new investment company after Baptiste accused him of stealing Sequoia Capital’s 2016.
Goguen was accused by the group of offering women gifts, which included alcohol, travel and jewellery, ‘to perform deviant sexual acts together and/or keep their silence as part the Goguen Sexual Enterprise.
After her affair was discovered by her husband (a businessman of high standing), he granted a woman credit and purchased her a five bedroom home. According to The Post, the couple filed for divorce.
Eric Payne (who did the construction work for Goguen), was also allegedly gifted by Goguen an office in Casey’s Bar’s basement. This is an establishment he still owns in Whitefish.
This office was password protected and had a full-size stripper pole. It is commonly known as the “boomboom” room. Payne and he could get young women into sexual acts for drugs, money or any other value in the Goguen Sex Enterprise.
According to DailyMail.com, Goguen took revenge against anyone who attempted to stop his evil activities.
Bryan Nash was his friend and called him “pedophile”. Goguen had brought his two daughters with him to Nash’s house. However, Goguen later ran away with their babysitter at high school to have sex in the cottage.
The babysitter’s age is unknown.
‘Goguen threatened to kill Nash if he “said anything to anybody” about his “character flaw,” later telling Nash that he “owns Montana” and “supplies law enforcement,'” the lawsuit states.
After Nash divorced her, Goguen began to have sex again with Nash’s wife. He also paid for Nash’s divorcing proceedings.
Marshall was used by him to harass and investigate Nash. The lawsuit claims that he went to the authorities “to no avail.”
Bill Dial, former chief of Whitefish Police Department (center left), called Goguen “a billionaire” a la Harvey Weinstein or Epstein. He said that people are afraid of him.
Goguen sent Marshall an encrypted SMS message using Wickr in September 2014.
‘Nashf*** has pushed me too far and his occasional reminders he might help blow the lid off my personal life requires an extreme response. He isn’t getting the cyber-route impact he was expecting.
‘Buddy, he’s f*****with my life, career, etc. and the potential for me being destroyed if he gets traction with the authorities or press is significant. Extreme action is required. He will f***** destroy the “bigger picture” for us if he’s not stopped.
“He must be killed. Although it’s an enormous task, we have defcon 5. While we can talk in person about details, it is not possible to have discussions on the phone. Wickr only…’
The lawsuit says that Marshall was not involved in the attempt to kill Nash.
According to the Flathead Beacon, in May 2020, Nash admitted to blackmail. He threatened Goguen with negative information if he did not pay $250,000 for his divorce proceedings.
According to the Post, Goguen hails from Bedford, Massachusetts.
He went to Cornell and Stanford universities, where he studied electrical engineering, and joined Sequoia Capital – an early investor in Google, YouTube and PayPal – in 1996, according to his LinkedIn.
The Post reports that he was dismissed from Sequoia’s job after Amber Baptiste, Amber Baptiste’s accuser of physical and sexual abuse over a period of 13 years. He had first met her at a Texas strip bar.
In a lawsuit seeking $40 million, she claimed that he had sodomized and tortured her for “six hours at once” and force her to refer to him as ‘king’ or ’emperor’.
Goguen then told Marshall to act as his ‘general 100x more aggressive than Patton was, to coordinate and make sure everything is happening that should be happening — PR firms, private investigators criminal side, local PR, everything,’ according to February’s lawsuit, emphasizing the lengths he was willing to go to, and the money he was wiling to spend, to punish those who hurt him.
Sequoia referred to Baptiste’s accusations as ‘unproven and not related to Sequoia’ in 2016 but claimed that Goguen was the right course of action.
Goguen is worth $5 billion, according to reports. According to a February lawsuit, Goguen is worth about $5 billion.
In 2019, a judge dismissed Baptiste’s lawsuit for failing to provide relevant documents or to submit to a medical examination, according to TechCrunch.
Another judge found Baptiste to have committed fraud and extortion, and issued Goguen an order of restraining that prevents her from repeating the claims.
According to the latest lawsuit, none of the 100 women in Goguen’s “harem” are named.
However, it does mention that he has bought some of these homes including one in Santa Monica, California, which is multi-million dollars, for a woman he allegedly had multiple times and paid to have an abortion.
Former employees of Goguen claim that Baptiste holds Whitefish police within his pockets.
Bill Dial (retired Whitefish Police Chief) told The Post, “This man must be stopped. He’s a billionaire a la Harvey Weinstein and Epstein. There’s a lot of people in this community who know what he’s about and they’re afraid of him.’
According to Goguen employees, Shane Erickson, who was a detective in the investigation of allegations of sexual assault against Goguen but who ‘improperly accepted gifts and other compensation’ from Goguen has been fired.
According to the lawsuit, Pam Doe was given cocaine and alcohol by Payne, Goguen and another individual.
An email that she sent to her lawyer stated she was asked to make a birthday cake for a friend when she was 17. She was later ‘roofied and requested to be an “escort” to many men.
Erickson revealed to Marshall, during his investigation that Goguen had admitted to paying him $1,200 for sex.
“During April, May, and June 2018, Det. Det.
Pam Doe later retracted her accusations. Pam Doe was, allegedly, ‘forced’ to sign a confidentiality and non-disparagement contract and she was paid.
