Two 16-year-old Brentwood boys were murdered by a man on Saturday.
Frankie Watson, 19 years old, from Orsett in Essex, will be appearing today at Southend Magistrates Court to answer two murder, attempted murder, and possession of an offense weapon charges.
Two other men – a 20-year-old from Grays, Essex and a 21-year-old from South Ockendon, Essex – who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail until November.
An investigation has been launched into the case of a 40-year-old Brentwood man.
Frankie Gater, 16 and Charlie Preston, 16, were stabbed in the street to death by eight men. They were attacked in the early morning hours of Sunday morning by eight others.
Police and ambulance personnel rushed to the scene in Brentwood but both boys were declared deceased.

Charlie’s mother Kirsti Preston previously revealed her heartache at losing her beloved son.
The mother of three, aged 37, told a friend that she was broken. I don’t know how this will affect me. My first-born child died.
MailOnline was told by a lifelong friend that Charlie’s murder caused chaos in the lives of his family.
She said, “I have spoken with Kirsti, she’s broken. I have spoken with Charlie’s grandma, she is broken.
“And I have spoken with Kirsti’s sister. They are all in shock, disbelief. It is so sad and tragic.
Ms. Preston wept when she visited yesterday’s scene of her son’s murder.
The mother and her son were photographed together during a family holiday to Greece earlier in the year.
