Five clubbers left their mouths bleeding after drinking Tequila mixed with salt.

Four women and one man were among the victims. They vomited after drinking from glass containing caustic soda.

This shocking incident occurred at the Tiger Tiger club in central London. It was believed to be caused by staff error.

Clubbers were afraid it would be a terrorist attack because of how serious the incident was.

According to an insider, the Sun was told by one person that the four-member group used tequilas to balance their taste and added salt to the lemon juice to make it more pleasant. Then they started to smell.

What does caustic soda mean? 

Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide, is a white chemical compound that’s often used for cleaning.

The chemical, which is corrosive, is used in the manufacture of sodium salts.

It is used for the breakdown of proteins and can also be used to dissolve roadkill.  

If it is in an eye, it can lead to chemical burns or permanent blindness.

Caustic soda-sensitive skin should be washed with water at least 10 to 15 minutes. 

Caustic soda must be kept in airtight containers.

Following the December 7th incident at Piccadilly Circus’ Haymarket club, police reportedly forbade anyone from the Haymarket.

According to reports, emergency vehicles including air ambulances raced on the scene.

According to The Sun, it is thought that the accident was caused by bungling employees filling salt pots containing caustic soda. This corrosive substance causes chemical burns to skin when it comes in contact with them.

A person remains in hospital for more than one month following the incident.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious by police, and the Health and Safety Executive was informed. 

MailOnline received a statement from the Met Police: “We were called around 10.50pm Tuesday 7/12/2015 following reports that four people had been burned by an alkali at Haymarket (W1). 

‘The four people – all female – received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital; none of their conditions are life-threatening.
