Following Christmas Day testing positive for Covid-19, many people in the UK were forced by circumstances to cancel plans.

Some people who received the negative news shared their test results on social media, as well as the effects it had on their day.

Many were sad to be away from their loved ones, but others found positives as well, such as those who got to see the in-laws.

MailOnline’s analysis showed that almost 900,000.00 people may be forced to spend Christmas Day alone after they caught Covid during the weeks before Christmas.

A variety of stars, including James Cracknell (Emily Atack), Rhian Sugden and Diane Buswell) revealed that they were made to stay in isolation when they tested positive for Covid-19 Christmas Day.

Those who shared news of their positive test results  on social media included a woman who was forced to cancel plans to host her family on Christmas Day after her nine-year-old son tested positive in the morning.

A user claimed that her entire family tested positive for Covid-19. Another woman stated she had tested positive in the morning, and then tested positive in the evening.

A Twitter user claimed he was going to his inlaws’ for the first time since 2019. However, his youngest child tested positive only two hours before they met.

“I know of so many who tested positive for Christmas Day.” Another said that it wasn’t very Christmassy. 

However, while there were some who felt disappointed, many others stated that they made the best of their experience.

As the wave of infections continues across the UK, minister are planning to send door-to-door teams armed with Covid jabs to reach the estimated five million people yet to be inoculated.

Over the last week, discussions between No 10, NHS England, and the Department of Health looked into a national drive to send vaccination teams to low-uptake areas as an important way to prevent lockdowns and restrictions.

You can also use it to give jabs to people living in remote areas, or to provide vaccinations for those who cannot travel to the centre.

MailOnline found that close to 900,000.00 people might be forced to spend Christmas Day alone after they caught Covid within the past 10 days. The majority of these were celebrities.

Meanwhile, Dianne Buswell (32) and Joe Sugg (30) tried to ‘to see positives in the POITIVE’ when Covid was contracted by the Strictly Dancer.

Emily Atack (32), took to photosharing to share that she missed her mother Kate Robbins, who was 63 on Christmas Eve. 

Additionally, she posted a cute throwback shot of the couple snoozing together in Paris during their recent trip.

Inbetweeners’ star said, “Gutted to have my first Christmas apart from Mum.” However, she is still alive and I don’t mind.

She made the most of it, and shared a photo on Instagram with her dog, sipping champagne, later.

James Cracknell from the Olympic Rowing Team was also a star to be disrupted by Covid testing. 

In addition to a quick glare at his lateral flows test, he wrote: Santa dropped off what I “waited all year for.” Covid. Dug trying explain to me that I’m not lazy, but sick. Dug isn’t buying it. Have a fantastic Chirstmas everyone. Jx’

James was able to see the humorous side of James and shared his picture with him. He captioned it: “I am no Dr Dolittle but I believe he thinks that you can’t give me covid, and that you’re going nowhere.” Both counts are correct.

While it is possible for pets to contact Covid, Britain’s Chief Veterinary Officer Christine Middlemiss has stressed that Covid cases in animals are ‘very rare’. 

Inhaling drops after infected persons cough or sneezes can infect dogs.

There is no evidence that animals transmit it to humans, with research suggesting they do not ‘shed’ enough virus to be infectious.
